On Monday, January 26, 2026, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State officially defected to the All Progressives Congress just days after resigning from the New Nigeria Peoples Party where he had been elected governor in 2023.
During a formal ceremony held at the Coronation Hall of the Kano State Government House,;he was received by prominent APC leaders including former national chairman and ex-Kano governor Abdullahi Ganduje, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, and Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development Yusuf Abdullahi Ata.....

Na their way.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, as expected.
ReplyDeleteIf you visit Tinubu and still remain in your political party, it means you've a strong "Will" and not greedy because to reject 250b allegedly is not child's play.
This is why you people are perpetually frustrated. You refuse to understand simple politics, rather, you take to unfounded and implausible stories. How much is the State budget? How much will the entire federal elections cost that Nigeria will give governors that amount and some will reject it?
DeleteWere Aba to remain in NNPP, who will sign his form with his party factionalized and the courts yet to give verdicts on the court cases instituted by members themselves? If he has legally inadmissible forms and wins 2 millions votes, he automatically loses to the runner up even if that one scored 7 votes.
This happened in Zamfara and Rivers not too long ago yet, beer parlor gossip and hairdresser permutations have produced 250 billion and those who think like them are peddling the same. Who paid who when Adeleke was refused entry into APC despite his begging at the national level and even printing Ankara in faith? ? Is it that Accord offered him a better amount or he doesn't want to be rich like his brother?
There is no other major party that is viable regarding 2027 except APC. What APC squashed in 2021/2022 with multiple people claiming to be chairman and secretary is what the other parties are refusing to address, making sure that there's no hope for them at the polls except wasted votes. The Abejide faction have the authentic chairman for ADC. The Makinde faction in PDP have jettisoned their authentic chairman and the Wike faction have not been ruled to have an authentic chairman though their secretary is legit. LP is split in 3 and with vital officers splintered. It's a 3 way fail. Nenadi cannot sign for a secretary that doesn't exist. The governors, parliamentarians, and all other office holders are desperate to converge in APC because it's the only legal path forward. If anyone needs to pay, it's those seeking entry. The landlords are spoiled for choice.
When next you are under those canopies browsing through newspapers you still won't buy, watch out for traffic.
It is finished.
ReplyDeleteSo he has left the party he came in as Governor?
ReplyDeleteLoyalty no dey their blood at all.
Their way ...
ReplyDeleteOne party state loading, you people should all b fast and all defect to APC so that the internal fighting will start already
ReplyDeleteThat the remaining 18 or so parties are unserious doesn't mean there is a one party state. PDP had 28 states and you didn't nah because over 30 parties existed with it and refused to learn how to win elections. A small party doesn't balloon to host spent politicians in a few months in a one party state eg China. ADC's recent rise in public discourse is evidence against the one party state claim they use to ruffle people who don't inform themselves.
DeleteApply your education so it doesn't look like you are parroting beer parlor talking points
A politician who did well in the last election failed to solidify his party after the elections, this is a leadership failure, but he and his followers aren't acknowledging this fact, they prefer to blame opposition as if the opposition exists to make them comfortable.
DeleteHe has now gone to join the people he called names just 3 years ago, yet his followers are, as usual threatening the people who did all the work to register ADC
Tooorrrrr
