Bilionaire Bizwoman Ehi Ogbebor's Memo To Women in “Mumu Marriages”

She hit the nail on the head!!!

Billionaire businesswoman and interior designer Ehi Ogbebor has delivered a striking memo to women, urging them to walk away from what she calls “mumu marriages” rather than waste years in unions that strip away dignity, mental health, and self-worth.

Speaking from her own lived experience, she revealed that she married at just 18 years old and by 20 had left the marriage, escaping with two children after enduring abuse that nearly cost her son his life.

Her second marriage also ended, reinforcing her conviction that no woman should sacrifice herself in the name of endurance.

In her words ''staying in a toxic marriage for 15 to 20 years is not proof of strength but a dangerous form of self-neglect'' and she coined the term “Mumuraige” to describe the emotional toll of women who lose themselves trying to save failing unions.

She stressed that children are not protected by remaining in unhealthy marriages, as the trauma often scars them more deeply, and she insisted that women must prioritize self-love, empowerment, and peace of mind over societal pressure to endure.

Soon an "achawo"(in my Enugu voice) will set ring light to preach on chastity because she has left the brothel and on short break.

      Nonsense and Malami.

    2. Please don't say what you do not know! I have known this woman from way back when she was working in insurance, she has always been hardworking. She had her interior business as a side hustle then and kept a low profile. So be careful who you call names.

  4. Congratulations to her on her failed marriages. If her exes talk now, you’ll hear different stories.

For those that are “hitting the nail on the head”, hush it cos you’ve never been married. Marriage is completely different from boyfriend/ girlfriend matter.

    3. What does a failure in the schools of marriage have to say that will be of any good? Cancel culture CANNOT have any part in marital unions. It is a UNION! Not advocating for staying in dangerous marital situations but this simplistic, woke/cancel culture views are the things destroying marriages these days.
I Cannot take advice from the likes of her biko.

  6. Anon :09:13.. You are so on point. How about when the woman is Toxic too? This woman that is sharing marriage advise be like saint to you? Women are always claiming victims when in actual fact, most of the times they are the trigger. A man is expected to take all the bullshit from his wife/ girlfriend because he is a man right? And when he reacts, he is termed "narcissistist"... Smh

  7. An African proverb says: If you want to be rich listen to the advice of the richest man in your village.
If you want a successful marriage listen to the advice of a woman in a successful marriage. Someone who defined all odds to make her marriage work. Never listen to the advice of someone who has graced different bed of different women.
For example you can listen to the advice of Linda Ikeji on how to make blogging a multimillion naira business but don't listen to her on how to run a successful marriage.

  9. Even after two failed marriages, she still hasn’t accepted that her ex-partners may not have been the issue, and rather than reflecting on herself, she speaks like men have nothing to endure in marriage.
Framing marriage struggles as something only women endure overlooks the reality that men also suffer emotionally in unhealthy unions. Marriage fails, mostly when both partners stop doing the work required to make it healthy.

We've not had cases of children walking into classrooms and slaughtering their friends on a regular basis. We've not had endemic levels of child suicides. We've not had children engaged in so much drugs it has become a national emergency....should I continue??

  10. Women who stay married despite all odds are not stupid. The same truth applies to men who refuse to bail out on life through suicide or take to acts of criminality because their efforts are unfruithful .
