ReplyDeleteMatthew 5:14 indicates that the Christian is the light of the world and as such, is called to a higher standard. Paul went further in 1 Corinthians 5:11-13 to encourage that the immoral be expelled.
There is no room for cover up in Christianity. Yes, soundbites shouldn't be made out of it but that does not mean it shouldn't be called out. No one who claims to be called of God should be seen to permit or practice any form of permissiveness.
