There is nothing like "marry early" or "marry late". God's time is the BEST! There is NO Biblical or Nigerian law that says marrying at 20 is early and good, and marrying at 40 is late and bad. We just love to mock others, so that we can feel good about ourselves. Are you aware that not everyone will get married or have kids? Does that make them failures? Haven't you seen someone who got married at 20, and didn't have kids, and someone who got married at 50, and had kids? What does that tell you? See, God is the ultimate. He alone decides what happens to each of us. It is not your place to determine what age people should get married and when they should have kids. God blesses people when He wants.

With the national coffers depleted from a series of costly wars, King Frederick William III of Prussia found his nation seriously short of funds as it attempted to rebuild. He refused to capitulate to his enemies and couldn't face disappointing his people. He asked the women of Prussia to bring their gold and silver jewellery to be melted down and used in exchange for the things the nation desperately needed. As each woman brought her jewellery, she was given a 'decoration' of iron as a symbol of the king's gratitude. On it was inscribed the words: 'I gave gold for iron, 1813.' The women came to prize their gifts from the king more than their former jewels! Their decorations were proof they had sacrificed for their king. In fact, it became highly unfashionable in early nineteenth-century Prussia for women to wear jewellery but very fashionable to wear a cross of iron. It was from this that the Order of the Iron Cross was established.
There are two sides to the Christian life: blessing and sacrifice. Paul said: 'Everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord' (Philippians 3:8 NLT). Jesus spelled out the cost of discipleship: 'If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me' (Matthew 16:24 NLT). The hymnist wrote: '"Take up thy cross and follow me," I hear my blessed Saviour call. How can I make a lesser sacrifice when Jesus gave his all?'

ReplyDeleteOne major tool the devil uses to hypnotise people today and take control of their minds is social media. He pushes certain ideologies to them consistently, and after a while, they begin to think the thoughts that he wants them to think.
We see this everywhere in the world today; things that were considered shameful and an abomination a few decades ago are now seen as normal in society. The devil particularly targets our children, ensuring that they learn all sorts of abominable things at a tender age so that he can take control of their fragile minds.
We must beware of this very dangerous tool that the devil is using to bring people into bondage.
Many times, the devil sneaks his evil ideas into songs, movies or even cartoons and by so doing, he introduces them to unsuspecting people, hypnotising them without their knowledge.
This is why (1 Thessalonians 5:17) says that we must pray without ceasing. we must remain in touch with the Holy Spirit at all times by studying the Bible diligently.
