Saturday In House Gists- Friends We Cannot Forget...

Today is Valentine's day, so lets talk about friends we lovely Dearly and cannot forget!
Which friends cant you forget? Childhood friends? Secondary school friends or University friends? Or friends you made outside of the three categories mentioned...
Do you have favourite friends?

I have friends in all three categories mentioned and even outside of the three categories mentioned but one friend who stands out among all my friends is one classmate I had in Uniben…

The one friend i cant forget no matter the amount of years we dont speak? Her name is Abies Ade****.. A banker, She is so beautiful with her locked hair and light skin and laughs so much you would have no choice but to join her...#She brings Joy to friendship and I can curse her out when ever and she does same and we laugh at everything....She is  that one friend you can insult and you both laugh like its a joke.

She is the only sheediot that calls me my full name..She would go ''Stellalinda how are you'' Or ''Stellalinda blah blah blah''... and i would go ''You beeeeeech''

I remember when we were in the University of Benin, I bought a pair of loafers on credit from her and promised to pay before I leave school but I ran away to Lagos with it because i didnt have a dime to my name and i had over rocked the loafers already.....We had a good laugh about it when we reconnected (Twas easy to reconnect cos she is from the popular Osula Family)

I am yet to pay her and she reminds me every time we replay the scene of how I escaped.. its so funny.....We gist about everything!

God blessed me with her....Do you have a friend like Abies.....?

  1. I’ve made close friends through every stage of my life!

My childhood friend (been friends since we were 3 living in our face me, I slap you house) and I are still close till date!

My close friend from my secondary school and I are still very close till date. Infact, the last time I was in Nigeria, she wanted us to stay at hers but no, my family dey wait me.

Made another close friend in university and even though she married 6 years or so before me, we have remained close till date even though she stays in PH.

Even when I was a teacher, I made a close friend from there who would go on to become my chief bridesmaid and this one and I practically speak everyday.

Then in Portugal, I made a group of friends and a very close friend from there. We have since remained close even after we moved from Portugal. Her family even spent 2024 Christmas with us in Switzerland.

I can’t forget any of these people.

  2. I have very few friends because I find it difficult to make friends. These friends are people I’ve known from way back, some are out of the country and a few deceased. I would give anything to have my friends around me again but then, it is what it is.
I would really love to have a female friend around 60yrs, more like a hangout buddy, with her own money to hangout with. I feel so alone.

  3. My very good friend, Francis Oj..., the friend wey I dey take measure other friends. 20 years older than I am, the man who taught me how to calculate my cycle and it's been working. The man who made me a millionaire even as a 'corper'. Who made me enter plane for the first time. When I told him I would be buying a bus ticket at the park, he said and I quote "you don't know who you are fucking" (Stella, abeg allow me write the f word out cos e dey sweet me). He sent his boy to go get me to and fro air ticket. My head wan blow. He took me to immigration office to get an express passport and said even if na one better African country I go, make them just stamp my passport, say me sef don travel. We were on it before the enemy separated us or maybe the wife prayed harder. Lol.

We recently reconnected but old age don do am shege and I couldn't be proud of hanging out with him in that state. He don beg tire but e no be like. Funny enough, his penis is still as strong. Only God knows what he is drinking. Make person no go die on top of me, abeg.

    Thanks.

  4. I have a friend from my uni days who I will never forget. She always showed up for me and I do same for her in school.Fast forward to a long strike in school and we all went home, during the strike I lost my brother who was training me in school then .I was down for days. One of such days, she called me,asked me to come out to a junction close to my home and I was shocked to see her there.I cried all the tears that I had held back for days on her shoulder.
She had seen a post someone made about my brother's death online. She didn't know my place, only knew about the name of the town I lived in but hadn't visited the town before. She travelled to our university town and got my address from someone, travelled down to my place without informing me till she got to my junction. It was one of the best surprises of my life. She stayed with me and my family for days, taking care of everyone.
She has shown up on several occasions after this but this remain special in my heart. As I type this, she's sitting in our parlour, been here to help take care of me and baby for some days and will be leaving tomorrow.Uche, only God can bless you adequately for me.I love you more than I can explain
