Singer Tems Explains What Real Love Looks Like

Singer Tems rejects the idea that love is blind,and argues instead that love is a deliberate choice made with your eyes open. "Love is like when you've seen the person's nyash...the nyash is open and you're like I still want it. I want someone to see my goods and be like yeah, give me some of that." 

She explains she can usually read people's motives and is wary of obvious, single-minded intentions. "Not really, the thing is that I know their intentions most of the time. Or most of the time, they have one intention, you know, as most guys, they are very obvious. So how can I even trust this conversation we're having? It's not even real. Everything you see is fake." 

Tems says she’s looking for someone emotionally intelligent, funny, and spiritually inclined, someone on their own journey and she challenges admirers to show her who they are: "I have things am looking for,  like you have to be emotionally intelligent, very funny and you have to be spiritually inclined ...like just on that journey of your own. But to boys that like me, show me!"
