Actress Chizzy Alichi Narrates Pregnancy Complications And Gives Testimony As Son Clocks 1 Year

Actress Chizzy Alichi marked her son Kenechukwu’s first birthday with an emotional throwback video and a testimony...She recounted how a normal night turned into a fight for both her life and that of her unborn child. 

She explained that at seven months pregnant, her water suddenly broke; she was spotting, contracting, and completely unaware of what was happening. 

She say that around 4:00 a.m., she was rushed to the hospital, where her doctor immediately insisted that the baby had to be delivered, especially since she had been admitted just two days earlier for the same complications. 

Her son arrived prematurely at 1.4 kg, dropped to 1.2 kg, and was taken straight to the NICU, where he spent 25 agonizing days. She described the heartbreak of going home without her newborn, pumping breast milk and sending it to the hospital, and the shock of seeing how tiny he was ...She said that he was so small that even the smallest baby cap had to be taped to fit his head. 

She reveals that he was not circumcised until three months later...

They also could not bathe him until he gained enough weight. 

Through tears, she remembered asking the doctor if he would survive, and when the Doctor told her that he would because he was not their worst case, she held onto that hope, praying and believing that God would perfect everything. 

She says slowly, he began to grow, open his eyes, and started fitting into clothes, and gaining strength and it was awesome watching him grow...

As her son Kene turns one year old, Chizzy calls herself a testimony, praising God’s faithfulness and declaring that those who trust in Him are never put to shame. She ended her message with a prayer for her son, Kenechukwu Mbah, saying he will never know sadness in his life.
