Chilling Story Of How A Man 'Involved His 2 Brothers After He Allegedly Mistakenly' Unalifed A Woman

This is a chilling recount of what happened on May 14, 2020 when she stepped out of the house for what seemed like a routine outing but she did not return......

''The kidnapping and murder of Janet Nwosu (née Ubunaya), a 55-year-old widow from Gwagwalada, Abuja, is a chilling account of betrayal and cold-blooded greed.
This tragedy unfolded in May 2020, just a year after the passing of her husband, leaving her children to navigate a horrific double loss.

On May 14, 2020, Mrs. Ubunaya left her home for what seemed like a routine outing but never returned. When she failed to answer her phone, her children immediately raised the alarm and began a search.

The situation turned from a missing person case to a criminal investigation on May 16, when the family received a phone call from an unknown individual demanding a 5 million naira ransom for her safe release.

Following the report to the authorities, the police tracked the communication and digital footprint to a specific location in Imo State. This led to the arrest of three brothers: Johnson Emmanuel (32), Gideon Emmanuel (31), and Success Emmanuel (27).

A Calculated Betrayal
The investigation revealed a deeply disturbing sequence of events orchestrated primarily by the eldest brother, Johnson Emmanuel.

Johnson had cultivated a relationship with Janet, eventually luring her to his house under the guise of romantic interest.Once she was at his residence, Johnson confessed to spiking her drink with a lethal dose of sleeping powder. He claimed his intent was merely to make her "sleep over" so he could keep her there, but the overdose resulted in her death.

After realizing she was dead, the three brothers worked together to conceal the crime. They buried Janet’s body in a sewage pit located behind Johnson’s house. In a brazen attempt to profit and flee, Johnson sold the house and the surrounding construction site for 7 million naira before relocating back to his village in Imo State.

To further hide his tracks, Johnson took Janet’s Toyota Venza and had it repainted from green to red. He also obtained fraudulent registration papers to distance the vehicle from its missing owner.

Following the confession and the recovery of her remains, Janet Nwosu was finally laid to rest by her family on June 12, 2020.

While the Emmanuel brothers provided detailed confessions of their roles in the kidnapping, murder, and subsequent cover-up, the final legal resolution remains a point of frustration.
As noted in the report, the pace of the Nigerian justice system can be exceptionally slow, and as of the latest updates, the final sentencing status for the three brothers had not been fully concluded.

Currently (2026)There has been no official public announcement of a final death sentence or life imprisonment term as of today. In Nigeria, capital cases (like kidnapping and murder) often face significant delays in the High Courts. The brothers remain in a correctional facility while the prosecution concludes its presentation of evidence to move toward a final judgment.''

    1. If our judicial system fail to give the Nwosus justice, the Universe will serve the justice to those killers.

  2. Why the delay in judgement? This is a clear case of murder.... whether the useless man claims it's overdose or not. Anyway, I believe justice delayed is not justice denied.
May God rest her soul 👏

    1. But we don’t know if what he states is true. She could have even gone to pick up something that she purchased from him. Who really knows the truth. How can anyone believe that someone who did all that would now speak the truth. For all we know all of them sexually assaulted her. They found her already decomposed, so nobody can tell anything.
