A Federal Capital Territory High Court has discharged former aviation minister, Stella Oduah, and her aide, Gloria Odita, from the N2.5 billion fraud case.
Justice Hamza Muazu freed them after the prosecution dropped charges based on a plea bargain.
However, two companies linked to her; Sobora International Ltd and Global Offshore & Marine Ltd, pleaded guilty to fraud charges. The court ordered the companies to be wound up and forfeit over N2 billion to the federal government.

No land is free from corruption within themselves or against immigrants.
But plea bargain is a part of the criminal justice administration system even in the countries perceived to be less corrupt.
There is no corruption by the Judiciary in this case. If the prosecution says no more case, the Judge cannot be a prosecutor and Judge at the same time.
And yes. A company can be guilty without its directors or one of its directors being guilty even if there was no plea bargain.
Another point. Not only the rich get off the criminal justice administration train with wrists slaps. The young yahoo practitioners, young wicked mudrous campus cultists, and female criminals generally get such slaps too because of how the society has influenced the courts to see them as the vulnerable and reformable. In this case, there is one woman or there are two women. Right?
