How una dey? I hope that your day is going well?...I have not really been myself since yesterday cos in the Euphoria of people debating whether or not Madam CEO actually has what she claims she has, heard News that someone dear to me whom we thought had successfully completed treatment succumbed to complications from chemo treatment...She had boobs cancer and both were taken off  but the it still happened......To even think anyone would joke with something like that is crazy!

I am not my usual bubbly sef......May your soul rest in Peace Sister friend Joy!

In all of this, one of my Bambino brought a photo of Jollof rice from Internet and asked me ''Mama can you make this''? My biggest fear don happen cos i cant make Jollof rice......Na the matter i dey now...Please wish me well....(Forget explaining anything, i cannot cook jollof rice)

INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD.

My princess has been extra clingy since she was sick a few weeks back, and it worsened after her dental procedures. She would start screaming once she doesn’t see me .
The way she screams for me when she is looking for me makes me lose focus, and I wouldn’t be able to concentrate until I attend to her.
I understand that her fussing and all is because she can’t always express how she feels per time, but it has not been easy too, especially with having to balance paying attention to her brothers too.

Yesterday, I was “touched out”, overstimulated and overwhelmed, and I grudgingly climbed up the stairs, leaving my cooking to attend to her. As I got to her, she hugged me, and for the first time, she said “Mummy, I love you.”
Immediately I heard this I gave her a big hug and every weariness melted away.
That statement from her brightened my world, and I haven’t stopped smiling since. Having this little human look up to me with so much affection and love makes everything worth it.
I have been way more patient with her and her siblings since then, and I have been indulging her request for cuddles.
I am still feeling high and basking in the euphoria of being loved.

Awwwww.....May it remain so and may their love for you remain unconditional..

NOTORIOUS FOR JESUS

There was this couple that used to live in my area while growing up. They were very rich and their house was the biggest on the street. We used to call the man 'Londoner', he was based in London but his wife was in Nigeria. 

The property housed all their extended family members. Some were droog addicts, oles, ahewos and everything wrong. 

The woman had her mother, brother, sister and cousins staying with her.

The couple had a daughter that had cerebral palsy and I remember they threw a big birthday for her and the whole street was scared to go to the party because there were rumours that the family was cursed and that a strange noise normally come out of their compound at midnight. 

My sister and I no send o, we attended the party and ate rice and chicken, we drank coke and took leftovers home. Lol. 

People came from far except the street people minus my family. 

My mum owns a provision shop on the street and they normally patronise us so we were easy target for the invitation. She was happy that we came. 

I have never seen that daughter before until that day. 

Well, years after years, we are all grown and have left the area, until last week when my sister called me that she wanted to give me a gist. One of the boys on our street then gave her the gist. 

She asked me if I remembered the couple and I said Yes, they were hard to miss and forget. The woman was gorgeous. She would honk as she drove by. 

Well, her husband returned from London, I don't know how long or what transpired but the man took a big machete, unalifed the woman before unalifing himself. Na like this I open mouth. They both have two children together, What could have transpired? The bizarre story didn't even make it to the media.

WHAT!!!!...where and when did this happen?I guess the gist about the curse in the family is true cos what is that....Unalifing someone with a cutlass?

DON’T MOCK THE CHILD WHO IS “WEAK” IN CLASS.

Listen carefully.
School is designed to measure how well someone can memorize and pass exams.
But life measures something completely different.
Some of the children teachers called “dull” are the same ones who grow up to build businesses, employ graduates, and control real money.
Reality is brutal.
Many of the “best students” graduate with perfect results…
Then spend years submitting CVs to people who were once called failures.
Because real life rewards things school rarely teaches:
Courage
Creativity
Risk taking
Communication
Street wisdom
Resilience

A child who struggles with textbooks may be a natural builder, leader, creator, or entrepreneur.
Not every seed grows in the classroom soil.
Some seeds grow in the real world.
So before you label a child as useless, remember this:
The boy everyone laughed at today might be the man signing paychecks tomorrow.
Respect potential.
Greatness does not always sit in the front row of the classroom.

TELL IRRESPONSIBLE MEN TO BE RESPONSIBLE

Instead of telling women to endure rûbbish in a marriage, while not just tell the "irresponsible" men to be responsible. It's very simple now.

Life no suppose dey hård
Some people are heartlëss, you will see a woman who is unfortunate with a crazy man, woman wey dey receive steady beåting, but you will be telling her to continue praying and fasting in order for the jagajaga man to change.

Why not tell the man to fast and pray for God to make him a better person for his wife... But nah, they won't say that.
You will now start hearing, she should keep enduring it... Nothing dey outside.
Good men dey outside; na you no good.
No one is asking for perfection, just treat your partner like a human being.
Most of these men wey dey maltreat their wives can't tolerate same thing if being done to their daughters/sisters. They are so protective of them ehn.
We need more responsible men in our society for divorce rate to reduce.
