Comedian Basket Mouth's Estranged Wife Elsie Threatens Lawsuit Over Paternity Fraud Rumours

Elsie Okpocha, the estranged wife of comedian Basketmouth, has issued a strong legal warning, vowing to sue anyone circulating paternity‑fraud allegations about her crashed marriage.

The former couple, who married in November 2010 and share three children, officially split in December 2022 after Basketmouth announced the end of their marriage on Instagram, saying the decision followed “much deliberation.”

The controversy about paternity fraud allegations resurfaced a month ago when a blog claimed Basketmouth allegedly revealed in an interview that a DNA test on their first child triggered the divorce , a claim Elsie says is completely fabricated.

In a letter released by her legal team, Elsie described the rumour as “false and unfounded,” warning blogs, influencers, and individuals that any further publication of the allegation would amount to defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional emotional harm.
She also highlighted the psychological danger such rumours pose to her first child, stressing that misleading narratives could lead to bullying both online and offline. According to the letter shared on her Instagram page, “some innocent members of the public may take such publications as the true state of things and begin to bully their son,”
