It was a decision I arrived at to coincide within the period of my birthday celebration. For me, I saw it as an avenue to give out 'token' to persons that has impacted my life in a way. There's an adage that says, "Give an igbo man a cup of water and he will come back with a tank of water to appreciate you". There's dignity in gratitude like I'll always say.
Two days after my birthday, I hit the market and got two big bunches of plantain. Also, I got some tubers of yam on the big size and some dried fish(mangala) as well. I arranged all I have bought into two equal portions and set out to the homes of these contractors.
Between last year and early this year, they both brought contract jobs to me which I didn't take for granted. I owe them that gratitude hence my visitation.
Financially, they're very buoyant and well positioned. Giving them money from the little I have is like throwing a stone into an ocean. So I thought it wise to gift them the stuff I had bought at the market. It was really appreciated. One among them the wife was so excited and prayed for an increase towards me. I was warmly received and I enjoyed my short stay with each of the families.
I had learnt earlier in life to always appreciate kindness, connections and favours done to me. Most importantly, present a gift to the channel and source of a kind benevolence on me by people. This very act, paves way for more opportunities in life. Like it's being said, "A man's gift maketh room for him and bringeth him before great men."

This much I strongly believe. Normalise the act of giving back in whatever capacity you can to people who have been instrumental to your rise in life. Once in a while, be the giver and not just the receiver all the time. That's how to grow and stay connected in life.
Successful and business minded personalities are observant and they equally take note of your effort in appreciating their support on you.
Go and verify. No one who has always been at the receiving end all the time has ever grow in life. There are rules to connections and greatness in life. You only become valuable to people when you reciprocate kind act towards you by showing appreciation accompanied by a gift.

A very good move
