EX Ministers Edun And Dangiwa Reportedly Resigned And Were Not Sacked

Former Finance Minister and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, and Housing and Urban Development Minister, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, voluntarily resigned from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s cabinet and were not sacked.
The reason for Edun's resignation is stated below...

Edun, who turned 70 on Monday, April 21, 2026, submitted his resignation letter that same day, citing health reasons and thanking the President for the opportunity to serve. Before the public announcement on Tuesday, April 22, he paid a valedictory visit to President Tinubu at the Villa, held a one‑hour discussion, and then stepped away to focus on private business.

Dangiwa also resigned ahead of the April 22nd announcement, and expressed gratitude to the President.
