Yusuf Buhari, son of former President Muhammadu Buhari, has picked the All Progressives Congress, APC, ticket to contest for the Daura/Sandamu/Mai’adua Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 elections.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Yusuf picked the ticket unopposed after a stakeholders’ meeting held in Katsina on Tuesday, April 28, where he was unanimously adopted as the party’s candidate.

Bala Allawa, a nurse working at the General Hospital, Kagara, the headquarters of Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, and four other farmers have been killed by terrorists, Weekend Trust reports. It was gathered that the terrorists launched an assault on Unguwan-Karu village along the Allawa–Pandogari road, where Bala had reportedly gone to fetch firewood after closing from work at the General Hospital, Kagara.
