The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has finally released 279 results from those previously held for further investigation.
This is in addition to the results earlier released by the Board.
It disclosed this in a statement on Thursday. 
The release follows ongoing investigations into cases of suspected examination malpractice. 
JAMB stated that while some results have been outrightly cancelled where evidence of malpractice was established, others have been released where the Board found no prima facie case against the affected candidates.


Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has withdrawn from the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial primaries ahead of the 2027 governorship election in the state. Fubara announced his decision in a statement he issued to journalists on Wednesday. He said his move followed “deep reflection and extensive consultations” with his family, friends and associates.

A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Dr George-Kelly D.A., has withdrawn from the party’s primary election citing the need for party unity and loyalty to the leadership of the APC. In a statement he personally signed on Wednesday, the aspirant said his decision followed consultations with members of his political team and critical stakeholders after a stakeholders’ meeting convened by the national leadership of the APC.

 The Monetary Policy Committee, MPC, of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has voted to retain the Monetary Policy Rate, MPR at 26.5% following its 305th meeting. The decision was reached at the latest MPC session, with 11 members in attendance.

His election, which took place on Wednesday during the 2026 National Convention/ Presidential Primary at the Bola Tinubu Conference Centre, was sequel to a voice vote by delegates from the thirty-six states of the country and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

. No fewer than 20 workers narrowly escaped death after a two-storey building under construction collapsed in Umuoji, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State. The incident caused panic among residents and passers-by. It was gathered that the workers at the site narrowly escaped death on Monday evening when the structure began caving in after loud cracking sounds were heard from the walls.

Rivers State Commissioner for Youths, Hon. Chisom Gbali, has tendered his resignation from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
His resignation was contained in a letter dated May 13 and addressed to the party’s chairman Ward 1 Oyigbo Local Government Area of the state.
He said the decision was reached after careful reflection and personal consideration.
“I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the leadership and members of the party for opportunities, relationship and experiences I gained during my time as a member of the party.
“I kindly request that my name be removed from the party’s membership records and registers accordingly,” he said.
His resignation was made known to the public a few hours after Governor Siminalayi Fubara withdrew from the APC governorship primary.

Following the controversies rocking the ruling All Progressives Congress over the ongoing Primaries, the National Chairman of the party, Nentawe Yilwatda, has said the party has what it takes to resolve its differences. The APC chairman said this in a chat with journalists after meeting with President Bola Tinubu in Lagos, on Wednesday.
