Today i will be giving you an update about my friend Kayslim. Remember him? The guy I wrote about in my column of May 1st. Recall that I narrated that Kayslim though married, found himself in a bit of a mess with two ladies claiming they were pregnant for him.

Things have taken a more weird turn since. You know, madness comes in different flavours but nothing takes the cake than two single ladies fighting over a married man. A married man who doesn’t care a hoot about them for that matter.

The lady who claimed she was pregnant for Kayslim, actually never was. How did this bombshell leak? Her friend she was staying with, copied Kayslim’s number from her phone, called him and gave him the news. She told Kayslim that his supposed pregnant girlfriend just wanted to use the pregnancy scare to get him to open a well furnished saloon for her. He was actually setting aside money for that until this exposé came.

To reward the lady who leaked this news, Kayslim took her out, gave her a treat and they went to a hotel to spend time overnight. No one would have been wiser but this lady snapped herself inside Kayslim’s car and posted it on her status. Her friend, the one who claimed to be pregnant for Kayslim, recognized the interior of the car and before long, they had a huge nasty catfight. They tore at themselves like rabid dogs, proceeded to renovate and upgrade each others face with bites, blows and horrid nail scratches, broke windows in the compound, got grisly cuts as a result and caused such a huge scene that the landlord had to call the police and they were both locked up.

Kayslim heard about the whole kerfuffle but gave it as much attention as a bored whore in a joint would give an evangelist preaching across the street. He met a youth corper a few days earlier and she’s became the flavor of the month, taking all his attention. They are currently in Jos enjoying the Sallah break. Remember, his wife gave birth barely two months ago. But who am I to fault his priorities?

As at the moment of writing, the two ladies who fought are still in the police cell. The landlord has insisted that they pay for every item they damaged during the fight. None of them have that money. I don’t know who is squatting the other but I get the general idea that they won’t be staying together going forward if they manage to make bail.

There really isn’t any lesson to learn from this display of fools is there? If anyone is fighting over a married man, I strongly suspect their sense of judgment won’t permit them see the folly of their ways. Certainly not immediately. Here’s what I know for sure will happen. Kayslim will still have both these ladies at his beck and call to toy with as he pleases when he returns. He is of the view that a woman doesn’t leave a man because of another woman…tale as old as time. Not sure I share that sentiment though but the next few weeks will show if there is an element of truth in that or not.
