Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, a member of Nigeria’s House of Representatives from Kano State, has strongly denied claims that he was using drugs. During an event, people noticed a blue colour on his tongue and it went viral. This led to rumours that he had taken pills or substances.
In response, Doguwa showed his tongue and explained:
“It is the work of the devil and my political enemies that claimed I was taking drugs or pills. What was in my mouth was sweet blue candy.”
