Saturday In House Gists - Hygiene And Pads For Women In Naija....

Is it that pads for women are too expensive in Nigeria or what?I have been seeing posts about complaints on this and there seems to be no posts suggesting solutions in sight so we have decided on a post to see if help will come in the comment section....

Which brands of pads are the cheapest and most reliable to buy in Nigeria? Most people who have Myoms and bleed a lot in Nigeria, which pad is best for them? I cringe when i hear some say they use baby diaper.......
Mention brands and price and where to get of reliable Nigerian pads and hygiene products for women in Naija.......
Remember that different states for different folks.
Let's gist!

  1. Stella, if it's up to me, sanitary pads should be free for young girls and women who can't afford them.

I can't remember how many packs I have gifted out to schools even I was really had enough to spare. I sometimes give to the church too for young girls who cannot afford to buy 💰

  2. Always brand is good. That's what I started with & later switched to Lady care when Always became costly. I later switched to Molphed as it absorbs more. I don't have heavy flow though.

Prices depends on brands and heavy or light flow 🩸
I like the Softcare mini pack (3 in 1)that I can carry around & it goes for #300.

  3. Softcare pad is 3 in a pack which is sold for 250naira, then Besense is also 3 in a pack and also sold for 250naira..I have few of my friends that uses pampers because of heavy flow and they say it's very comfortable and ok to use..

  4. It should be free especially to school kids..and I don't get what they're saying concerning the 25k pad...

  6. Always pad is a no no for me. I itch whenever I use it. Molped is the best, uae it when my flow is heavy, and busense when my flow is light. They need to not only do something about making it affordable, but most pads don't stick again.

  9. Aya pads are great. They come in two colors....yellow and pink. The yellow has 7 pieces while the pink has 10.
One thing I love about the pads, very long.
I feel so comfortable and relaxed with it, no itching, nothing and it's the best I've used.

  11. If the cost and availability of sanitary pads is causing girls to miss school then that is a problem. These are the conversations that local government representatives should be having with school officials and mothers.

There is a great Bollywood movie called Padman on Netflix. It’s based off a true story and worth a watch.

  12. I use baby diapers especially for days 2 and 3 when the flow is crazy. Normal pads can't hold anything any longer. They now serve as panty liners cos they are damn too flat. When I use the diapers, I still support them with thick cotton napkin after the undies before the 'tight'.

    1. So, baby diapers can go around your body, or you cutting them?

    2. It doesn't have to go around your body. Just place it like your normal pad and use very strong undies to keep it in place. Kapish.

    1. Yes, those incontinence adult diapers can be used for those with heavy flow, as they are built to prevent side leaks. Many pads cannot prevent side leaks especially while sleeping.
