to police reports, Ogunleye was declared missing on May 20, 2026, after her vehicle was found abandoned along the Ipere-Iludun Ekiti road. She was later rescued unhurt by security agencies. But investigations showed the abduction was not real. Police say she planned it to get money for personal debts and political promises. The court, presided over by Chief Magistrate Abayomi Adeosun, remanded her at the Ado-Ekiti Correctional Centre on Wednesday alongside three others. The case file will now go to the Director of Public Prosecutions for advice.
