She claims that English Nollywood movie industry is strictly driven by sxx for roles.
According to her, this is the reason behind her decision to quit English Nollywood and focus on the Yoruba Nollywood sector.
Speaking during an interview, she mentioned that her inability to act in both industries may have limited her popularity, as she is known more in Yoruba Nollywood than English Nollywood.
"Despite the fact that I’m Igbo by tribe. You will have to start sleeping with them before getting to the top, starting from their generator guys. Lots of fake scripts to lure you into sxxual intimacy. They are not accommodating. It is easier for me to relate with the Yorubas, maybe it’s because I was born and grew among the Yorubas all my life. For the English industry, it was strictly sxx for role. They won’t hide it from you. I’m well known in Lagos and other South West States, but they don’t know me in my state as an actor. Enugu is a place that if I enter today, nobody will say hi I know you” .

ReplyDeleteI remember going for auditions for “the missing mask” in Aba. That was Ahanna’s (Francis Duru) first movie. They just picked the best actor and someone who fits what they want.
I wish Nigeria would go back to doing things right. Employing the best people. This is why they are producing rubbish movies and asking people to support them by watching them. No I won’t watch mediocre films.
If they want international audiences, they must employ the best actors.
So she's trying to say that Iyabo Ojo, Funke and co slept their ways to the top or what. Please I don't believe her, it's even in that their yorubawood that they do sex for role. If you are good with your craft your work will speak for you and you don't need to do any genital meet and greet.
