According to the circulating accounts, the arrests were carried out across several northern states ,including Sokoto, Katsina, Kano, and Zamfara as part of a coordinated pressure strategy.
The security officials also reportedly warned the kidnappers that if any of the abducted students or teachers were harmed, consequences would be extended to their detained relatives. With the bandits allegedly cornered in a forest location without supplies, they were said to have become significantly weakened.
