Pastor Adeboye Apologies For Saying Those Who Dont Pay Tithes Wont Go To Heaven

In a trending video online, the General Overseer of The Redemmed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, is seen apologising for making a wrong statement about tithes. He said " I'm going to be apologising for making a mistake for saying if you don't pay tithes, you might not make it to heaven. I'm sorry, that's wrong. That's not in the bible"

  2. This is why we should read our bibles and know God for ourselves. Understanding lo matter.

It's a lone journey with God.

  3. I have never taken that statement seriously. Only gullible, overzealous Christians believe it. I still remember when Billy Hamm if I got the name right apologized for all the staged healings he did. The truth is gradually coming out.

  8. You are too long in the tooth and too long in the ministry to be making such statements. Ppl are not tithing because they don’t have it, have you considered how many in your flock are unemployed, lost jobs, dealing with health problems that are eating away at their savings, scraping by to keep a roof over their heads and feed their families? No, you have not considered this because tithing is your income and all you have considered is your own household.

Ppl are passing through much in these testing times. You will never go hungry for the rest of your days, you will never be homeless because of lack of funds to carry your home. You and your generations are set for at least five generations, so show grace and mercies to those who don’t have random ppl to send them money all the time. You are making money while you sleep, others need to wake up from 4am to start preparing for their two hours commute and will work for 12 hours, be in traffic again for two or more hours to return home to a measly meal and a 50k monthly salary. Do you want these ppl’s money? Are these the ppl you expect to turn over money to your church. These ppl should be left alone, not guilted into giving what they don’t have and barely surviving as is. Even the minimum wage of 70k only translates to $51 US monthly, what is that for anyone or any church to stretch their hand out expecting something out of. Tithing is for those with comfortable incomes, let others give according to their realistic capacity or not at all. The rich seeking from the poor and modest earning is still detestable as it ever was.

  9. They should look for ways to return to those that grudgingly paid tithes because...

  10. What about the other pulpit bandits who have mimiced those words and established their ministry on tithing?

Are they going to come out and apologise too or is it business as usual?

LMAO. Thank God I stopped going to Nigerian church over 15 years ago. I've not bothered going to church abroad, but I would be willing to if I felt like it. Of course I would NEVER attend a Nigerian church abroad. Never.

Please you and your gullible sheep will be just fine.

It is good for people to read their bible. Tithing is not christ teaching. It is not even money. It is Levitical order cos they didn't marry or have families.. Jesus Christ coming abolished it because it is a law , human cannot observe it. We live by grace not law. You don't know that if they dash you money you pay tlthe for it.
    Galatians 3: 10.
That is why Christ came and die for us
