She explained that when she was younger, she watched family members struggle. They needed babysitters and often felt they had no real freedom. That sight made her decide that she did not want kids of her own.
“I said a lot of things when I was younger. I saw a lot of people struggling… my family members needing babysitters and them not having a choice, no freedom. When you’re younger, those the words you make, the choices you make that I didn’t want any kids.”
She added that as time passed, her view shifted a little. She now notices how much other people’s kids and teenagers mean to them. “When you get older, you start to see how valuable their teenagers are to them. Their kids are to them.”
Blige paused and said, “So now it’s like … ‘Oh man…’ But then you’re like … eh…”
Mary J. Blige sau in past interviews that she values her freedom to move around and do what she wants without having to care for someone all the time. She was once a stepmom to her ex-husband’s three children and still stays close to her nieces and nephews.

ReplyDeleteShe can still adopt one.
ReplyDeleteIje uwa!
I hate it when people give unsolicited advice about kids. Who told you every childless person wants to adopt? Do you know the emotions and responsibilities required in raising a child that is not yours?
DeletePlease people refrain from giving advice unless you are asked.
You can still do surrogacy.
ReplyDeleteWhen you started making hits and making serious money at your young age in your early twenty's, you should have realised back then that your family member's situation was different from your own situation
ReplyDeleteOh Dear

ReplyDeleteAdoption is key
ReplyDeleteLovely woman 🌹😘
ReplyDeleteIts never late though, many kids out there needs love.
What is the point of having children if they would have been damaged ppl. Mary does not strike me as someone who would have put her all into motherhood, she always chose shytty men too.
ReplyDeleteShe is just 55 and lonely thinking if she had children of her own things would have been better today. Ppl always think if they had made an alternate life choice things would be better. Some had five children and they all died and they are still alone. Some have children who couldn’t care less what happens to them. Nobody truly knows how the end will be.
Quite sad.
