Wife Of Content Creator Odogwu Asaba Says She Stands By Her Husband Amid Alleged Assault Case

The wife of Asaba‑based content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as Odogwu Asaba, has spoken out about the serious allegations against him.

In a recent video, she stated that after eight years of marriage and four children, she believes she knows her husband well. She admitted he had intimate relations with the late 20‑year‑old Favour Agbro, but insisted it was not assault. She added that social media is not a courtroom and urged the public to stop judging the matter emotionally. She vowed to stand by him and expressed confidence that a proper investigation will reveal the truth.

In early June 2026, Favour Agbro travelled from Warri to Asaba after being invited for a content‑creation training. According to her recorded account and police reports, she alleged she was assaulted in a hotel room. She later returned home distressed, informed her parents, and recorded a video before ingesting a toxic substance.

The Delta State Police Command arrested Ifeanyi Ogbonna following a formal petition from the family. He remains in custody as investigations continue. He has previously appeared in videos pleading for forgiveness.

  2. Wow! Is this where we are now? A wife and a mother defending an unfaithful husband? Anyone can own a dog but to publicly embrace a rabid one?

Debating whether her husband sexually assaulted the young lady or not isn't even the crux of the matter. That young lady took her life because she found the experience of her involvement with him traumatizing enough to take her life. I have seen stupid women but a woman who feels defending her philandering husband and pleading his case in the court of public opinion when the facts say otherwise, takes the cake.

  9. How i wish this lady maintained her silence and allow things to unfold. It is either she was forced to do this or there is more to it. Your husband is my neighbour in Asaba. His boutique in Hampton Hotel Asaba is next to mine. In as much as every woman is expected to support her husband but it is obvious you don't know the man you married. Did you forget that he just paid your bride price after 4 children and much persuasions, madam did you forget how many times you left the marriage due to your husband's infidelity? Can u remember how many of your husband's sales girls that your husband abused sexually that were intimidated not to talk. We warned him but the little fame he got entered his head and he felt untouchable. This time around na nemesis and karma caught up with him. Haven known you guys overtime, i can safely conclude that this damage control you presented and coerced defence was forced
