ADVICE NEEDED
Dear Stella,
I was seeing a very wealthy man back in 2023, but he suddenly woke up one day and walked out of my life.
We reconnected two months ago, and since then he has been spending a lot of money on me. In just four weeks, he gave me what used to take me six months to earn in salary.
We used to chat constantly. Our arrangement is not a romantic relationship but a friends‑with‑benefits setup. However, I cannot lie, I have strong feelings for him. It may not be love, but I am deeply attached.
Recently, he stopped initiating conversations and now makes me feel like I must be the one to text him. For the past three weeks, I have been the one reaching out. Sometimes he responds warmly, other times he is cold.
This is where I am confused. Should I chase this man? He has indirectly made it clear that as long as I initiate chats, carry the conversation, and ask to meet up, I will still have access to him. But if I stop reaching out completely, I lose access to him entirely.
I have been unemployed for two years. I do not rely solely on a man for money because I run a small business that brings income every three months, but his return to my life has been a huge financial relief. Should I swallow my pride, dignity, and self‑respect just to keep pursuing him so I can remain in his life, or should I let him go?
P.S. I know his ex from seven years ago. She told me that after two years together, he stopped initiating contact with her completely. She had to be the one constantly reaching out and carrying the relationship for years, but she enjoyed significant financial benefits from him until they eventually went their separate ways.

The man has a problem ooooh...werey!
Please dont chase him at all, when he is tired, he will come back again.. Please invest your money and wait for him to come back...
Dont go to him out of longer throat oooooooooo

You are attached to his money, nothing else.
ReplyDeleteMadam, just keep reaching out so you can get more money. While reaching out, i hope you put whatever you can get out of him to good use.
Mind you, he will not always be there and from how you described him, he can ghost you any moment.
At some point, all that money you crave for will not matter cos you would have drained yourself trying to reach out for his attention. Pele o.
E get spirit wife and he's married
ReplyDeleteHe is not your husband, not even your fiancé, he has made no promises to you and he gets bored of women after a while. Giving you the money is the easiest thing he can do and for him it is peanuts, so you are the one who is losing even though it looks like you are winning. If his presence helps you to survive one more day and ease your financial burdens then just be aware that your arrangement is 100% transactional. There is no love and he has already left the load on your back to carry. If you can carry your load then carry it but trust that one day you will get weary and chances are you will feel empty with a full bank account. That emptiness will feel ugly because you will realize that you were just a commodity that he can trade in for another.
ReplyDeleteIt is up to you how you want to live in this life. End it for the sake of your mental health and self respect, you will say your bills are being paid. This could also be a spiritual test for you. If you were leaning on God for your survival and suddenly this man appears seeming to be the answer to all your earthly problems then you have failed the test. He is not your husband you should not be sleeping with him or taking his gifts. Your hope and trust should be 100% on your Creator believing on His promises and His Word. Doing what is right before God won’t let you feel bad or empty, so drop this man as he can drop you and face the one whose promises are sure and who gives eternal peace. Forget this situationship and trust God for His best. Pray for growth in your business, pray with belief.
I am 💯 sure he’s married
DeleteLonger longer . Longer throat. Dye that feeling Taaaah . Use blue dye. No go hustle. Someone has told you the truth about been friends with benefits. U dey catch feelings. Well done transformer
ReplyDeleteDon't chase him. You already know that if you stop initiating, the connection may disappear and that should tell you something important.
ReplyDeleteHis financial support may be helpful, but don't trade your emotional peace for it. Give him space and see whether he reaches out on his own. If he doesn't, accept that for what it is and focus on rebuilding your own financial independence. You don't need to swallow your dignity; you simply need to stop forcing a connection that isn't being equally maintained.
Chase him and chop
ReplyDeleteDo it like business
But don’t fall for him
He came back to renew ....
ReplyDeleteIf you like, nor give yourself brain.
Hmmm deep
DeleteI was in this kind of situation for 16 good and roller coaster years. And i must tell you it's the most draining, confusing and self depreciating situation to be in.
ReplyDeleteI did everything to keep him interested but the interest will only last for a few weeks or months and he'd be gone again and i will start the chase until he has my time again. It continued like that, off and on for that 16 years when i finally told myself the uncomfortable truth. He was just playing with me. I was his play thing and each time he got bored with me, he'd toss me to the side and get on the next woman that gave him excitement.
Yes, he gave me money, he gave me treats but those things were no compensation for how low he made me feel. See, nothing compares to one's dignity. We all know that for a fact. No amount of money he is giving you now will make you feel good. You'd always feel empty and used because you are very much aware that he feels nothing for you. So i ask you, is it worth it?
The worst part is they always come back when it suits them because they know you are just a text message, a chat or a call away. They know you will always be there, waiting in the wings for them to as much as snap their fingers. I told myself I'm worth more than that. You should be worth more than that.
Let go of him.
