Moses was convicted for posing as a spiritual healer and defrauding an Indian woman of 1,100 dollars. He received the money through his Zelle account and moved the naira equivalent into his local bank account.
Investigators said he deceived the victim into taking a naked “spiritual bath,” recorded it without her consent, and later blackmailed her, threatening to release the video unless she paid him more money. The woman eventually paid the 1,100 dollars to stop him from publishing her nudity.
The EFCC arrested Moses in Ekpoma, Edo State, and charged him with impersonating a spiritual leader on a fake TikTok account to obtain money under false pretence.
The charge stated that he impersonated “Dr Solomon” and collected 1,100 dollars from the victim, Sharon Kaur, for supposed spiritual prayers, an offence contrary to Section 321 of the Penal Code Act and punishable under Section 322.
