NOTORIOUS FOR JESUS
My hairdresser’s husband drives a trailer that is used to transport huge logs of wood from the forest.
He does the business with a friend. But if there’s one thing you should know about people who do this kind of work, it’s that many of them drink alcohol heavily.
I don’t know exactly how it happened, but one day, he and his friend were drunk while working and accidentally knocked down and killed a young man who was riding an okada.
They didn’t run away. They went straight to the police station and reported themselves, so the police kept them in custody.
The family of the young man buried him, and initially, they agreed that the men would compensate the deceased’s family. However, after the burial, the family changed their minds and decided they wanted to take the matter to court.
His wife started praying and running around, trying to find a way to help him, but they still weren’t granted bail.
After three days, however, the family of the deceased, who were Muslims, decided they no longer wanted to pursue the case. They said that Allah gives life and Allah takes life, and they chose to forgive them.
That was how the man and his friend were eventually released and spared a manslaughter charge.
When I visited them to sympathise with the family, the man was deeply remorseful. He kept saying that he would never drink again.
I hope what happened shocked him enough to stop....Problem with drunkard and thieves is that they always revert to that behaviour..

FROM FRIDAY SPONTANEOUS POST
I had an issue with my landlady last week. We insulted each other very much What I said to her was so insulting and painful that she arrested me.
At the police station, I was given some papers to write my statement. While I was writing, a lady walked in.
The next thing I heard was one of the officers shouting, Get out of here!
What happened?my PRO asked her colleague.
See this stupid woman. Her husband GrapeXd her 11-year-old daughter, and she still had the guts to bring food for him.
The lady replied, He doesn’t have anyone here to bring food for him.
Officer: and so what?
Pro: his daughter?
Lady: No his stepdaughter
PRO: So you still have feelings for him?
Lady: No!
Pro: So why are you here ?
No answer
Officer: Have you taken your child to the hospital?
Lady: No, but I have taken her to a pharmacy.
Officer: Did I ask you to take her to a pharmacy or to the hospital?
Pro: madam na wa for you oo, you no get sense, you want the girl to get infection abi belle
Lady: Hospital, but I don’t have money to take her to the hospital. That’s why.
PRO: But you have money to bring food for him and pay for transport to the station?
The lady had no answer.
After a while, she said, His family has called and said they will settle me and my daughter if I cancel the case.
Pro : so what is your plans
Lady: he should be released
Officer: I hope you know that you’re not the one who made the arrest. It was your neighbour who called and reported the matter which led to his arrest.
Lady: It’s because I was not around. That’s why.
PRO: But why would your husband do this kind of thing to your daughter? You dey give am the thing?
Lady: I dey give am.
Officer: When I asked him why he did such a stupid thing, he said it was because he didn’t want the love to go outside.
Pro: seriously?
The lady kept begging, so they allowed her to see him and give him food.
As she left the station, my PRO paid some guys in the cell to beat him up.
After some days, we were called for settlement. I asked about the case and was told that the lady was the one who bailed him because she had a child for him, but on the condition that he should never come back to the house again or near his daughter.
According to them
The man eventually agreed to pay ₦100,000 to the girl and another ₦100,000 to the mother, while the police collected ₦350,000 in bail.
Case closed.
I still couldn't stop thinking about that little girl. At such a young age, she had already experienced something no child should ever have to go through.
I pray she found out later that her mother fight for the man release but can't fight for her or protect her.
Just Imagine this?????That man will go back and continue and this piece of cow dung called his wife will protect him....This is what some minors go through as kids and grow up damaged!........these damaged people end up damaging those around them.

I used to hear my father scream this whenever we needed his emotional attention at home.
Yes, a man can provide everything his family needs and still be emotionally absent from the home.
Sometimes a man's love language is: "Have I not paid the bills?"
Don’t get me wrong, provision matters, Protection and Responsibility matters.
But your family doesn't only need your money. They need your presence.
Your daughter needs to know she can talk to Daddy.
Your son needs to know emotions don't make him weak.
Your wife needs more than a man who solves problems —sometimes she needs a man who can sit beside her and say:
"Tell me what you're feeling. I'm listening."
Many men were never taught emotional vocabulary. Nobody asked:
"Are you afraid?" "Are you grieving?" "Are you overwhelmed?" "Do you feel rejected?"
Instead: "Be strong." was the constant thing they heard.
So the little boy learned to turn sadness into silence, and anger into the only emotion he was permitted to express.
Years later, he becomes a husband and suddenly his wife is asking him to communicate feelings he was never taught how to identify.
That's not an excuse though, but an invitation to grow. Your children are watching how you handle pain. One day, they may reproduce what they watched.
