The announcement was made by INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, during a readiness briefing in Kaduna, where he confirmed that over 10.7 million new registrations were recorded during the Continuous Voter Registration exercise. All newly registered voters are expected to pick up their cards once biometric verification is completed.
INEC also warned staff against partisan behaviour and emphasized strict compliance with election procedures, promising early deployment of materials and a “zero‑failure” logistics plan to avoid delays seen in past elections.
