NOTORIOUS FOR JESUS
I was on my farm last week when I witnessed something from a distance.
A man was driving past when he stopped and offered a young schoolgirl a lift, but she politely declined.
Normally, it was quite a long distance from where she was to the main road, so you would think a free ride would be a welcome offer. But she chose to trek instead.
Honestly, I was impressed by that child.
I have been in a similar situation before, and I know that accepting a seemingly harmless ride doesn't always end well.
Years ago, we had a male neighbour who would often offer me a ride in his car whenever I was going to school. At first, he was very pleasant, and I appreciated the gesture. He appeared to be a good person, and even my parents thought highly of him because of the kindness he showed me.
Until one day, while I was in his car, he suddenly tried to rub my thighs and lift my skirt.
I was shocked. I was disappointed. I couldn't believe that someone who had presented himself as a decent person could behave that way.
Although I had my doubt at some point but I didn't trust my instincts and protect myself.
So, I applaud that little girl for being able to say no.
And before anyone says, "Maybe you misinterpreted the situation," I understand that possibility, I have been there before. I know what it feels like when someone who appears harmless tries to cross a boundary.
We should teach children that they are allowed to say NO, even when the person offering them something appears kind, familiar, or trustworthy.
Their safety should always come first.
That one never open eyes be that, nah dem dey flag cars down now sef....I honestly think the social media exposure has done a lot of harm to the kids than good...
You are talking about the one who did not get into a car? who will protect the one who has been exposed to the monster called social media?I was on a content creators page and this person uses their kids to create content and the 6 yr old child rapped a song like Tupac's and called someone a beech..She had makeup and dressed a certain....

I bought her make up!!!!!.
I know how much I frowned on little girls playing with makeup before I had one and I have been humbled, she has never seen me use makeup but I have heard her beg her aunties several times for their’s and I know how much she loves practicing on her brothers and I.
Even when she can’t find one she uses her writing marker, I have had my brows and face drawn on several times in my sleep because she is practicing drawing brows.

I was first against it but after my sister persuaded me, I am letting her.
The other day she painted my nails pink and purple and it was cute watching her furrowed brow while she was focused so hard, trying to do a good job.

This experience has humbled me really.

7. Limit your screen time to avoid excessive exposure to others life. This way you don't compete with others unnecessarily
8. Eat 99.9 percent at home
9. Eat fruits if you have to eat somewhere unusual.

ReplyDeleteI saw a comment made on Spotanous post this morning trying to force a wrong narrative on my story yesterday. I think I have to set the record straight for some of you who delight in running along with lies.
Few months ago, I applied for admission at Miva Open University with a study centre at Port Harcourt. A session costs ₦390,000 excluding laptop and other necessary materials which runs over ₦500,000. I applied with the belief that the job I was to start at the time would commence, but unfortunately it was put on hold. When the admission came, I couldn't accept it, so I had to defer the September intake to February 2027 so I can plan for it. I remember saying that here.
Early last month, someone on X who knows my interest in Cybersecurity sent me a link for a 95% scholarship programme of three months and asked me to give it a try while I wait for the main admission. I saw it as wise to get a starter knowledge from it. I applied and was lucky to be picked. I remember coming to the blog to talk about the 95% scholarship I just got. I remember vividly that Bv BIG MAMA congratulated me on it. So how are both of them the same thing?
Some of you have already conditioned your belief system and mindset to always see evil in others that no matter what they say or do, it will never be truthful to you. I have to explain all of this so that sensible people won't be misled by the evil narrative you guys are trying to associate me with.
Finally, I appreciate the advice from those asking me to seek a 9-5 job. I'm sorry, I don't think it's something I want for myself. The nature of job I do is quite okay for me. On a good day, a single job I execute gives me nothing less than ₦500,000 as profit after paying for labour and logistics. How do you think I pay my rent, bills, feeding myself and cousin who have stayed with me all these years. There are times I get over a million on a major project. The profit from a major job is more than a year's salary, if not two. So I don't think I want to do 9-5. I can only set up a business while still doing what I have always done best. My job speaks for itself. Maintenance alone gives me money salary might not be able to give in a month or two.
Whatever you want to believe about my story is up to you. The last thing I will do here is to fabricate a story. Yesterday some persons were saying the story was fabu. Today someone confirmed there was actually a 95% scholarship programme like that. Make una try. But I can assure you one thing, you can never pull me down here. Not even broke shaming me. No be every time man dey guide. I no get today no mean say I no fit get tomorrow. You can't shame a man who has walked through ashes and is still holding on.

DeleteEnd of April, I had a leaking roof and called a carpenter to help me fix it. He came, did what he could, collected his workmanship fee and left. Unfortunately, when it rained the next day, the leaking became even worse. I called him repeatedly. He kept promising to come back, but he never did.
ReplyDeleteI became tired and tried two other carpenters. Neither could solve the problem. I called a fourth carpenter. He came, assessed the roof, told me what he needed, and the total cost of the materials and workmanship came to 80k. He tried, but even after all that, the roof still leaked.
Then someone introduced me to a fifth carpenter.
He came, examined the roof and worked on it. Before leaving, he said. ma “If it continues to leak, I will come back and keep trying until we get it.
The roof leaked again, and he came back. He tried a different method. It still didn't work. He came back a third time, tried another approach and finally, the leaking stopped๐
He charged me N30k for the three attempts.
He could have taken advantage of the situation. He could have kept demanding more money. Instead, he chose to be honest, patient and kind.
A month later, a friend needed someone to roof and fix roof tiles for him. I immediately remembered him and recommended him. He did an excellent job for my friend. My friend was so impressed that he introduced the same carpenter to two other people who also needed his services.
Do not always focus on money.
You may think you are only helping one person today, but that person may become the bridge to opportunities you never imagined.
I wish to encourage you to be kind. Be genuine. Do good even when nobody is watching.
A good job begets another good job. You did well dear ๐
