MAKE GOOD DECISIONS

'If you need wisdom, ask our generous God.' James 1:5 NLT


When you make a mistake or a bad decision, if you're wise, you'll learn from it by asking, 'Where have I gone wrong?' Here are three ways to avoid making a bad decision: (1) Don't get involved where you don't belong. 'Helping' without an invitation is called 'meddling'. No matter how well qualified you are, no matter how badly other people may be messing things up, stepping in where God hasn't called you to go never turns out well. Ask yourself, 'What am I trying to avoid in my own life that makes me want to take over someone else's?'

(2) Stop, think and pray before you decide. 'It's stupid and embarrassing to give an answer before you listen' (Proverbs 18:13 CEV). If you're an achievement junkie - someone who thinks that doing something, anything, feels better than waiting - you can make knee-jerk choices that make things worse rather than better. Include key people in your decision-making and listen to the counsel of the Holy Spirit before taking action (see John 16:13).

(3) Don't wait too long to decide. If you're a perfectionist, you're at risk here. You become so concerned about making the wrong choice that you make none at all. Making no choice is actually a choice. 'If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking' (James 1:5 NLT). Worst case? You'll make a mistake and grow wiser because of it. Best case? You'll show courage and concern for others and improve things.

There are moments when you just have to stop, look around, and whisper, "Thank you." That is exactly where I am today. I don't even know how to begin to say thank you to God, but I just have to type this out. I am completely undone by his goodness. My heart is just so heavy with gratitude.

My life is not perfect, but it is beautifully covered by his grace. I still have mountains to climb. I have my struggles, my quiet bad days, and things I am still praying for... just like anyone else. But wow...!!! God is so real. Through it all, God has been my constant. When I count my blessings and look at the bigger picture? I realize that God has hidden his hand in every part of my story. God has been so, so good to me..all I see is God's grace. Pure grace

First, The gift of life. God has kept me..he keeps breathing life into me. Just waking up every morning with breath in my lungs is a miracle I will never take for granted again. My life is beautifully held together by a God who cares.

And then there is his providence. I was sitting down the other day and it hit me...I honestly cannot remember the last time I went to bed hungry. I couldn't think of a single time. Not once. In a world where things are so tough, Through every hard season and every shifting economy, God has provided. It might not always be what I wanted, but it has always been exactly what I needed. He has continually blessed the works of my hands, making sure my small efforts yield results. It hasn't been by my power at all.

What breaks me down the most is how you have loved me through people....Oh God! Thank you for strategically placing the right people in my life exactly when and where it mattered most. I wouldn't be here without the angels you have sent into my life disguised as friends, family, and mentors. When I needed a hand, a door opened. When I needed comfort, someone was there. I know their presence was your divine design.

Looking back at how far he has brought me, I know I will never be stranded. I am not lucky; I am incredibly loved by a faithful God. I don't deserve this kind of love, but he gives it anyway.

Thank you, Lord, for loving me this much. I am forever grateful. 🙏😢

He knows you, he sees you, he cares, he feels what you feel, he sees the heavy load you are carrying, he knows how tired you are and he provides. You do not have to be strong today.
