Helen Keller overcame the difficult challenge of being left without hearing, speech and sight after contracting a fever as a baby, and she learned to communicate by learning Braille. Her life inspired millions of people. One of her ardent admirers was author Mark Twain. She was invited to visit every president at the White House from her childhood on. What many don't know is how hard Helen worked as an adult. After graduating with honours from Radcliffe College, she worked to help others until her death at eighty-eight. She authored numerous articles. She gave lectures for the American Foundation for the Blind and raised millions of dollars for them. On her eightieth birthday, she was given the Helen Keller International Award for those who give outstanding help to the blind.
In the Bible, Paul prayed for the Colossian Christians: 'That you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing him'. And he gave them two ways in which they could do this: 'Being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God' (Colossians 1:10 NKJV). Faith and works; spirituality and service; ministering to the Lord and meeting the needs of others. That's how Helen Keller lived.
You say, 'But my goal is to please the Lord rather than people.' Here's how you do that: 'With goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men' (Ephesians 6:7 NKJV). Hymn writer Charles Meigs wrote: 'Others, Lord, yes others, let this my motto be. Help me to live for others, that I may live like Thee.'

I saw a post about this and it got me thinking.
If many people are selling the same thing you sell, does that automatically mean fewer sales for you?
What’s your experience?
I first started rearing chickens on my street and almost everyone living on my street patronised me but as at today in almost every compound on my street you'll see one or two persons rearing chickens so the sales i make from my street has declined so i had to change strategy.
DeleteI grew up in an environment where it is believed that every business person have their own customers(target audience).so you just have to keep doing your best to attract yours,retain them and by the grace of God you keep growing.
DeleteWhat is more important is;what are you doing for your customers that would keep them glued to keep patronising you?
Price?
Value?
Customer service?
Benefits/Product discount?
Entertainment? etc etc
You can never be the only one selling any product on earth;even if you are the blueprint to that business;others MUST COPY,and competition sets.
If you even decide to bring your price low;another person richer than you can import or produce in bulk and go way lower in terms of price.
So what are you really doing for your customers that would keep you in their mind when they need that very product you sell?
Some things are TAUGHT in school;while some are what you LEARN in real life,in real-time while interacting with different humans every blessed day.
Surviving Business in an open market with various competitors is not taught,it is learnt..
For example;I might have a strategy that if my profit is #10000 from a product;I can use 5k to pay for logistics;then offer free delivery to all my customers;that gives me an edge over another distributor doing same business as me;but the thing is not every business person is willing to let go of that #5000;so they rather lose customers.
So that above is just a strategy;there are thousands to keep you in the mind of every customer that comes around your business;you just have to think deeper and always be on your chart with various strategies.
Also know that no serious business person has the whole 365 days on earth being rosy;some days you win and some days you are down due to so many factors..but you just have to keep showing up till the day you leave this Earth,that is the surviving mindset.
