Court Told ARISE TV Anchor Sommie Maduagwu Was Pushed To Her Death

A police witness has told a court that the 11 defendants standing trial over the death of ARISE anchor Sommie Maduagwu allegedly confessed to pushing her from her third-floor apartment during a robbery.




The prosecution’s second witness, Fatou Toborteh, told the court that the assailants also stole cash, laptops and phones.
The prosecutor requested to tender a video recording of the defendants’ confessional statements. The judge granted the request and adjourned the case to October 7 for continuation of the trial.
