During a conversation about the hidden financial weight that marriage can place on men, Freeze pointed out that some unions come with extra layers of responsibility, especially when the woman is the first child in a family that is not financially stable.
He explained that in many homes, the firstborn daughter often carries the emotional and financial burden of her parents and younger siblings and when such a woman gets married, her husband may unintentionally inherit those obligations.
Freeze didn’t mince words, stating:
“As a struggling man, don’t marry firstborn daughter from a poor home unless you are extremely wealthy.”

Responsible first daughters are indeed blessings to the family. I am a witness to this and can boldly say that they are usually strong and hold siblings together. My eldest sister exhibits that leadership trait. May God continue to bless every hard-working woman out there, and most especially first daughters. They are the pillars of the home.

I don tell God say I would rather continue my small operations than to tie myself in anything wey go cause me family drama again. Next agenda na to buy house put my parents (in my name of course), as she no gree do na. Then I secure my own, then relocate abroad and put mine up for rent or air b n b.

But some men are looking to make a difference in the world. Not everyone stingy and selfish. To assume that every Nigerian man is afraid of responsibilities is too much, speak for yourself.

ReplyDeleteSee mindset!
ReplyDeleteWhy am I not surprised! 🙀
A man that turned his back on his own biological children can't be kind to anybody.
Wicked soul.☹️
Come to think of it, why will parents transfer their burden and responsibility to their first daughters
ReplyDeleteWell, I have seen last born daughters do much more than first born daughters, these things are not set in stone!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteWhatever suits him
ReplyDeleteWhat about first born sons??? Is it not a two way thing? So a wife should not be wary of a first born son Abi??? Double standards.
ReplyDeleteSame goes for men as well. I married a first son and he was more responsible for the mother than his first sister and last sister as a middle child, in the early days of our marriage and he was very supportive of me as a first daughter as well. It is about understanding. Everyone is now pulling their weights and their mother is enjoying now, than before though she is unsatiable but, everyone knows their boundary now.
ReplyDeleteOga freez what do you have to say about the current administration? Marriage expert. All of you are now mute
