Online Personality Freeze Warns Men About Marrying Firstborn Daughters From Struggling Homes

Online personality Daddy Freeze recently shared a blunt piece of advice for men who are still trying to find their financial footing.

During a conversation about the hidden financial weight that marriage can place on men, Freeze pointed out that some unions come with extra layers of responsibility, especially when the woman is the first child in a family that is not financially stable.

He explained that in many homes, the firstborn daughter often carries the emotional and financial burden of her parents and younger siblings and when such a woman gets married, her husband may unintentionally inherit those obligations.

Freeze didn’t mince words, stating:
“As a struggling man, don’t marry firstborn daughter from a poor home unless you are extremely wealthy.”

  1. Responsible first daughters are indeed blessings to the family. I am a witness to this and can boldly say that they are usually strong and hold siblings together. My eldest sister exhibits that leadership trait. May God continue to bless every hard-working woman out there, and most especially first daughters. They are the pillars of the home.

    2. My sister you are right oooohhh!! My story looooong.

For my family, na the 3rd born. 2 before am, 2 behind am. And e get money. But for wiaaaa??? If e give you 1 naira, you go do thanksgiving. Very selfish, even outside of money. You go beg am "give me this contact make I submit CV or proposal". For where? E go frustrate you until you stop asking. Like, you will feel rubbish for asking repeatedly and chasing up and down. I come think say abi e just likes the attention.

If no be say I dey hardworking, I for see weeeeing. Because that year wey I ask, na so so family drama: "everyone should work hard for their money". Money wey na marriage you take enter am? Na so I wash hand oh tell am "sorry oh". I give am space, think my life. Na me never see rich man marry make e package and connect me abi? Isokay. I wish you well.

As I dey hustle, ppl think say na im dey contribute to my progress, not knowing say na me and God. So I just focused and gradually, things are looking up for me. I know she is feeling bad that she did not help when I needed, but I also believe say na so God want am, so that I won't feel indebted to anyone. Because I can be too grateful for little things sometimes.

Now she don dey ask say make we collaborate "we are all entrepreneurs at heart" talk put here, talk come there. I no say *pim*. And you know say when you don do public display, you no fit reverse wetin you talk. So e no fit go meet pops tell am to convince me. E don see say I dey make progress and e wan distract me with capital wey e no carry come that time wey I dey beg. I don tell God say I would rather continue my small operations than to tie myself in anything wey go cause me family drama again. Next agenda na to buy house put my parents (in my name of course), as she no gree do na. Then I secure my own, then relocate abroad and put mine up for rent or air b n b.

My people, focus in life oh! Make them no use you write poem. It has taken me longer, but no problem. We move regardless.

  5. But some men are looking to make a difference in the world. Not everyone stingy and selfish. To assume that every Nigerian man is afraid of responsibilities is too much, speak for yourself.

What about first born sons??? Is it not a two way thing? So a wife should not be wary of a first born son Abi??? Double standards.

  14. Same goes for men as well. I married a first son and he was more responsible for the mother than his first sister and last sister as a middle child, in the early days of our marriage and he was very supportive of me as a first daughter as well. It is about understanding. Everyone is now pulling their weights and their mother is enjoying now, than before though she is unsatiable but, everyone knows their boundary now.
