China’s new influencer regulation, effective October 25, 2025, mandates that content creators must present verified university degrees or professional credentials before discussing sensitive topics like medicine, law, finance, and education online. The policy aims to curb misinformation and elevate the credibility of online discourse.
The regulation was issued by the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC), with support from the National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA) and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism

This rules should also be applied in Nigeria, most of social media contents are full of buuuullshit, lies upon lies, defamation of character, especially on Facebook.
