Senate Withdraws Arrest Warrant For Mele Kyari And Rejects Senator Oshiomhole’s Harsh Comments

The Senate has withdrawn the arrest warrant issued for former NNPCL boss Mele Kyari and says Senator Adams Oshiomhole’s fiery comments were his personal opinion.


Oshiomhole had called some NNPCL officials a bunch of criminals and thieves during a heated committee session.
Lawmakers now insist the Public Accounts Committee had no power to issue the warrant without full Senate approval.
Kyari says he was abroad for medical treatment and is ready to face the probe.
