Human rights activist and security volunteer Harrison Gwamnishu confirmed that Mrs. Blessing Chiedu from Umunede was abducted along the Ani‑Ifekide Farm Road in Ubulu‑Uku. Her kidnappers demanded ₦100 million ransom, and Harrison immediately alerted the Delta State Police Command’s Anti‑Kidnapping Squad in Asaba, led by CSP Osakpolor.
Using the Hydra Tech Surveillance System from SafeCity Security Service, the team rescued Mrs. Chiedu alive along the Ubulu‑Unor/Ashama Road and after the rescue, security operatives launched a night‑long manhunt. At about 6:45 a.m. on July 8, they tracked the gang to a hideout in the Ogwashi‑Uku/Adonta Forest.
A gun battle followed, and the team overpowered the criminals, arresting Abubakar Usman, while other gang members escaped deeper into the forest with their weapons.
Usman and his gang are believed to be behind multiple kidnappings in Igbodo, Umunede and surrounding communities, collecting millions of naira in ransom from terrified families .

Great news . Great job Harrison and team
ReplyDeletePolice are not good people. Why snap his shoes na? What do they want his family to think of him? That he is making good money but can't buy good shoes? I'm sure his fashion sense will be upgraded in prison. 😂
ReplyDeleteThank God for safe rescue of Mrs Chiedu
