President Jonathan Congratulations....You Have Just Been RE-ELECTED!

I never liked the APC idea, and now with the 7 rebel governors jumping in, I hate it the more.  APC is a bow to Al Qaeda pressure, it is a bow to the bows and Arrows of Boko Haram, APC is a negotiation with terrorists, and APC is “we are sorry we are Christians”. I loved the ACN arrangement.  ACN was a tall stand for the people.

ACN was progress, good works, it was hope for many, it was joy and celebration again, it was a sense of citizenship and patriotism, , ACN  was clear direction, and ACN was Awolowo rising up from the graves, and this meant a lot to many of us who are beneficiaries of a solid educational foundation laid by the late sage.  But ACN died in the parachute of ambition built by those who believe it’s always their rights to rule and forever.  ACN died in a senseless suave stride of expansionism, big tent politics that has no hope of bringing the people big rewards.

PDP is the worst thing that ever happened to politics in Africa. Run by greedy, crazy people who don’t care about tomorrow, they destroyed many states especially my home state of Osun. People were terrified and trampled upon. PDP is “Powerful Destroying the Poor”, I hate the party, but I am sympathetic with President Jonathan and I may vote for him, although I hate his party.  If I shouldn’t, what or who is a better option, let’s name names. Lamido, Babangida, Shekarau, Kwankwaso?  I am even having a migraine headache calling these names. They are names in the past, names that may not necessarily give Nigeria any new good name; these are names that have the ability to maim. You may disagree with me, that is where I stand.

We called the president King Jonathan before he became president, is he no longer a king?  They said he was humble, has he lost the humility? They told us he loved God, now they tell us he is a Chief in the Palm wine Drunkards Club.  They said he was and still is the first PhD holder to be president, is he now a GCE holder?

I said it loud then that you don’t need a PhD to be president; you need a head on your shoulders. Many PhD holders’ heads are empty!  If the elections were held today or even tomorrow, President Jonathan will be re-elected. With the 7 renegade governors now jumping ship to APC, it is as sure as death. I hate when some people believe that Nigeria is their personal property, and that is what will be driving a lot of people as they make up their minds who becomes president in 2015.

When a certain people claim birthrights in a nation where others’ birthrights are bathed with acid of oppression and suppression, a sitting president like Goodluck Jonathan is re-elected. Congratulations King Jonathan, you have just been reelected President.

DR FOLA OJO WRITE IN FROM USA.

*huh?I personally think President Jonathan has tried but his best has not been good enough,no hating but he should step aside and let someone else try..I dont know who but i canot stand another President Jonathan reign ..once this one expires,he should step aside and open a fish farm!...This is my two cents and you are free to disagree

I feel that was the plan of those backing the boko haram guys so he will be frustrated to resign but alas the guy still de there o. He is even planning to come back in 2015. lol.

Starting from the likes of oduah, alamesiagha, patricia Ete and co. This country has never had a president who is so brazen and confident in his association with thieves!

  19. Whenever I see president Jonathan in pictures, he portrays or emanates an aura of humility and kindness. But what really baffles me is the reason or reasons why he cannot coordinate and stabilies basic amenities for the masses.

Mr president, for one, Education is very very important for everyone. From ASSU to the little children hawking in traffic. Why?
    WE ARE RICH ENOUGH!

Mr President, everyone should be having constant electricity 24/7, not minding the threats and thuggery of Generator importers, diesel and fuel marketers. Why?
    WE ARE RICH ENOUGH!

Another one is security of lives. Please do Copy the emergency systems of other nations. Let people be able to dial for help and help will come in accidents, medical emergencies, robberies, kidnapping, domestic voilence, etc. Why?
    WE ARE RICH ENOUGH!

Another one is the health care system. That system needs total overhauling. Make healthcare affordable. Buy equipments and invest in research. Especially the recent surge in kidney diseases in Nigeria. Why?
    WE ARE RICH ENOUGH.

I really like GEJ ( from pictures) and he will make a huge difference if he listens to the masses and helps them. Why?
    WE WILL VOTE ENOUGH!

  20. When it comes to politics I think bloggers should take several seats back! GEJ will forever be unfit to rule this nation. They said he's kind??? Who are they? GEJ never promised us anything but yet people voted for him...why? Because he's a Christian? Is dt enough reason?.... our governments shows who we are as a nation! As long as we keep having biased mentality, we will keep having bad leaders..

  21. You said "APC will bow to alqeda's pressure", has GEJ not bow for them? Up till now people are still dying and not much has been put in place...and of course those who left pdp are actually the few good ones in pdp, do ur research! Never judge a book by its cover! Same thing we did dt made Jonathan the president

  26. Ive never liked APC strange bedfellows. APC is a' sorry you are a Christian' party. I said it earlier. I still don't see any other credible president candidate from there. Buhari? Forget. Babangida? Never again. Atiku? Thief .Except we all want to take Nigeria back 30 years. Who is the new blood that APC will present to steer the ship of the Nigerian State? I don't see any. Dr Fola Ojo might just be correct. Congrats King Jona. You just got re;elected. Not because your performance is tops, but because the greed of the Nigerian politician will by default foist you on us again.

  31. All I sense in this writeup is ethnic and religious sentiment!and that is what landed us in the (un)able hands of Jonathan.he wasn't capable but bcos the Christians(well. Except me)wanted a christian there,(Voila!we are in deep shit we have not been able to come out of,so Mr Fola wat are u talking abt?
We all know there is no honour amongst thieves(both PDP and APC),but what I sure know is that the only thing that can bring change to this country is another party that can give PDP a run,and dat merger of whether it's another set of demons,i don't care, would do d magic!
@Fola,when u remove religious sentiment from ur judgement,u will see that amongst those names giving u headache(as u said, lol),there will still be Someone that can be a much better leader than Jonathan.so pls don't talk like uv given up on naija.

  37. Expressing your religious beliefs especially with politics in Nigeria is no longer sentimental. If you have lost loved ones in the Boko haram escapades in the North, you will feel some pain. If your sister or brother was beheaded right in front of you watching, you will feel some pain. If your wife was raped and husband sodomized in front of you because of some god they claim wants them to kill, you will feel some pain. If all you have worked for over decades goes up in flames right before your own eyes because you refuse to denounce and renounce your faith, you will feel a lot of pain. It is no longer sentiments, my brother, it has become a reality show, and it is too ugly, and we must move beyond this stuff. We are too great a people to be jerked backwards into the BC era. There are very solid, credible Muslims from the North with integrity who can help us. But this butchering in the name of some god? Common! I am telling you people are thinking about this as they prepare for 2015, and it will be a big factor. any candidate who did not speak against butchering fellow citizens in the name of some god will not rule Nigeria. And it does not matter who is president, north, south, east or west as long as he or she is a credible candidate who will put the people first. Thank you

    1. Sir you amaze me, have read some your of write ups and you earned my respect due to that . But on this I beg to defer. With your level of education and exposure, and you are still sentimental to booth.
Jonathan is not and will never be the answer or messier to Naija woes. People like you Sir are part and percel of our problems , cause you choose to applaud mediocre .
Jonathan does not possess the will or drive to eradicate naijas major issue which is corruption.
Am not in support of Acn or any other party am a free thinker. We need new crops of leaders not the likes of jonathan n co.
Sir you should be calling for peaceful revolution and not this sentimental bulala u just wrote.
      Cheers Sir

    2. Pls tell him,am amazed too that someone claiming to be well read and travelled can talk like this.
Sir u said boko haram beheading and stuff, but are they sparing even the Muslims themselves in the north?no!
It's really not fair to spread such sentiments when u and I know the truth!
The day nigerians will start to vote based on a person's personality and achievement, and not based on where he is from,or his religion or party, dat will be the commencement of our deliverance.till then we will all be jokers wasting precious time on a merry go round'.

Mr. Fola, please who should you blame for failing to tackle the menace of BH in Nigeria? Try and be objective and stop being myopic...the GEJ administration is busy preparing for 2015 rather than sitting up and tackling all the horrible problems facing this country as a whole. I implore you not to be sycophantic and biased. We must all ensure that PDP is permanently written off in the history of our dear nation come 2015....

  43. One thing I am sure of is that Nigeria will get there, and we will be greater to the surprise of many nay-Sayers scattered all over the world. Emotion is running very high right now because people are hurting and in pain, and hope is dim. But all of us are the hope and the deliverance that Nigeria needs. You don't have to have a godfather to be what and all you can be in your own country. All of us must take back the nation. We have deferred so much to the leaders that most of the time they play god. None of them is god. We are the owners of Nigeria, you possess what you own, you don't leave it in the hands of some mis-managers. No one man is bigger than a nation, so we must hit the ground running and let them see that we know Nigeria is ours together. This whole stuff is bigger than Jonathan or anybody who replaces him. It is about a people, a nation, a future, a destiny. Why cant you be governor of your state? or a senator, or Representative in the house? If you are loaded with good ideas, you must run for office and you will win. Because Nigerians know good stuff when they see one. We must not be afraid to challenge those who are giving us challenging times. We don't have to fight each other, kill each other, we have poverty and sickness and squalor to fight and defeat. Read my column in PUNCH this Friday, you will have a glimpse of where we are and where we should be. We are too big to be bought over by money and contracts and jeeps and promises of positions. Those things don't last. Good governance should outlive and outlast all of us, and you are part of it. You are the governor your state has been waiting for, you are the senator, you are the ambassador, and the minister, and the commissioner. What then are you waiting for? The longer you wait, the more we wail! Thanks a million.

Those parading themselves as possible substitutes are more of wolves and pickpockets. Nigeria is being pushed to the precinct. Jonathan can do better though. He should clamp down on corrupt officials, fix our roads and give us light. Every other thing will fall in their proper place.
