EX University Registrars Wife Commits Suicide...OMG!

The University town of Ekpoma, in Edo State was thrown into mourning yesterday, when the wife of the former registrar of the Ambrose Alli Unversity, Mrs. Kate Edokpayi, was found dead after committing suicide.
Her dangling body was discovered by her husband, Mr. Larry Edokpayi, in one of the rooms in their boy's quarters.

Although she did not leave any suicide note, it was, however, learnt that she might have been frustrated over her health challenges.
It was gathered that she had repeatedly expressed frustration over her inability to get cure for her diabetic condition.
Vanguard learnt that the husband, who recently retired from the service of the university, had suspected kidnapping after a long search before he was advised to check the boy's quarters.
On getting to the quarters, he was said to have observed that the door was bolted from behind and forced it open. He was shocked to see the dangling body of his wife at the ceiling.

She was an Assistant Director with the Edo State Ministry of Education, overseeing the ministry's office in the Ekpoma before her death.culled from Vanguard

    2. Nowadays, suicide is just a way of disappearing. It is carried out timidly, quietly, and falls flat. It is no longer an action, only a submission

I have been diabetic now for all of 7 years with four kids to manage, and most times no reliable help or hubby in town. and I can tell you the disease is no fun at all to manage even eating and living according to the lifestyle ain't easy . Even going to work sometimes is tasking , But suicide is a no go area at all. Hmm. Just speechless.

  25. Stella. Your last line 'no matter your condition, suicide is not an option'

Trust me. Just bless God that you haven't been ina position where suicide felt like the best option.

I've been in that position once. And oh, did the media help me. Today there will be an article about someone committing suicide by using shaving cream. I will consider that. Next day, another article about something else someone used.

Honestly, people live in hell and they unfortunately have no one to help them out. I was bent on suicide. I was sure it was the only way I could survive. Only one of my friends actually talked me out of it.

Im sure she doesnt even know how im alive today because of her.

Suicide is a thought that is common in our midst. The earlier we start facing it, the better for us.

  32. If you watch crime and investigation, zone reality etc then you will understand these things can be perfectly staged . But in my country, no one bothers cuz the life of a human being is just like that of an ant, someone dies, we lament, no thorough investigation. She killed her self over this condition? If you believe this then you will believe anything, sickle cell patients sef dey manage their crises.
