Ohakim Officially Joins Guber Race In Imo State.

Former Governor Chief Ikedi Ohakim showed up with his supporters at the PDP secretariat on Okigwe road on Thursday to formally declare his intention to contest the 2015 governorship election.

In 2011, Chief Ohakim lost his re-election to the present Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.

What do you think about Ohakim's bid to return to government house?

    1. Lindaa d truth of d mata is dat d current gov Rochas is a big fraud n a disappointment to my pple. Unles a new person shows up den I'm afraid Ohakim MIGHT win. If for nothing d 10,000 job he give to d pple of d state dat Rochas scraped off by not acknowledging n paying wages will b restored. That will b 10,000 votes already for Ohakim.
Nnem hapu unemployment is dealing with pple biko. N a hungry stomach will not send if d pope was slapped. Besides I'm sure Ohakim will b smart enof to make a public apology to dat incident then again time heals all wounds. I believe 4yrs is enof to do dat to d pple.

    2. As a matter of fact, I'm from Imo state. And I reside in Owerri presently. If you claim to be from Imo state and claim to be suffering in the hands of Rochas Okorocha then you are an ingrate. Rochas as a governor has done what A Chile could not in 8 years. I won't mention this fool Oh slim because he never did anything, other than planting flowers and treating Imolites like slaves in his tenure.

My people let me make it clear here, Imo state University is the only state university in the south east that pay less than 100k as school fee(20k to be precise). In fact no state owned university in the south east pay less than 120k.

When Ohakim was the governor of the state, the only state owned university aforementioned was totally in decay. But today, I can swear on my life that things ain't the same again.

When Ohakim was our governor, the crime rate in Imo state was unbearable. The rate of kidnapping and others, but today, it has reduced if not stopped.

Do I talk of focus the present governor is giving to the creation of other cities in Imo state. Who visited Orlu about 4 years ago would believe it to be the same Orlu today?

There are many things this governor has brought to Imo state, but these bloodsucking fools in the disguise of politicians won't accept it because he refused to share the state resources with them as it was the case in the past.

Though he may not be the best governor ever had in Imo state (Sam Mbakwe was and is), but he is undoubtedly the second best. And he has his weaknesses too.

    3. Did you say INGRATE anon11:11....it is the RIGHT of the people to have good roads.

It is the RIGHT of the people to have things work in the state.

YOUR ROCHAS is a SERVANT OF THE PEOPLE.

YOUR ROCHAS is an elevated OMO ODO of the people...

Did i hear 2nd Best....Anyway its your opinion...why will development be restricted to ORLU Zone alone?

Oya gbupu asu....retract the word"ingrate"......some of us Igbos are not SUBSERVIENT...

Tell Dee Anayo, to step up his game, put necessary infrastructure on ground or prepare to STEP ASIDE!

The cheek of it! We DEMAND that things work...thats what our taxes are for?

Abi Uche Nwosu is this you? or the commisioner with bulgy eyeballs..

  12. Ohakim was Imo state worst Governor within his short time in office, very corrupt. His government was filled with retired (jobmen) thou he is one of them noting to show for his time in office only Ghana most go bag exchange. Imo has never had a good leader since our new democrazy from Udenwa,Ohakim to Mr show man Rochas. Rochas is no better but I prefer him to Ohakim I wish someone new can lead the state.

  14. If Ohakim was voted out means his credibility is not intact, unlike Fayose that was impeached. This re-election race for him is a failed one already cos if they didn't want him then, why will they want him now? PDP should drop him cos i sense he has nothing to offer.

    1. Martins you must be from Njaba or Orlu Zone...That explains your outburst! ..

Honey boy...besides the free education and a few refurbished roads what else is working for your state?????

Compare Dee Anayo's good thing with Fashola's, Sullivan's and Oshimole's, Akpabio's good things and what do you have =Double F9.

FYI Rochas can NEVER be Imo State's best Gov ever...that award should go to Chief Sam Mbakwe of Obowo.

Martins open your heart and ears...what we have right now is mediocre in comparison to where we want to be!

    ReplyDelete
  28. In as much as I do not trust Okorocha (Today he vies for presidential post, tomorrow governorship, next tomorrow, local government chairman. Jumping from one party to another), I would rather vote for him than Ohakim. If PDP really wants to win Imo state, let it choose someone with good reputation. I hope what happened in Osun will not repeat itself in Imo State. Uncle Jonathan, no be party alone people dey vote for O. Rose

  29. I've always known Rochas is a fraud same way I knew Oshiomole no pure by pure intuition. I loved him when I was much younger tho. I'd admire him for his "plenty talk" I'd be like oh! What an Orator however Rochas is a fraud- run for precidency, state govt, party harloting etc SMH
