    4. This is superb. I grave for the time in Nigeria when we would only have to use our ID card to travel to other African countries. Like its done in some European countries and within the U.S. But the thing is those who'll adulterate the efforts by printing fake cards don standby. **sigh**

We never do things right in this country do we?

  7. There is nothing to be proud about here...please. The NIMC simply copied the European ID card's template. So, it isn't an original idea. When will we stop praising politicians for something which they ought to do? *abegi*

    2. Jayem, abeg no let nigerian police catch you with that fake id. My friend got one from drivers license office and police stopped her and said it was fake.
She had to pay them plus they seized her card so she went for another card.

  17. Whatever!! Why the need for a chip?? Using it at ATM??? LOL!!! Identity theft waiting to happen!! Sorry even US ID cards/Drivers License dont do that for the same reason!
Plus is this same country where any body can change their birth certificate? Does the govt have an actual database??? We need to get something similar to the Social Security Number used in US, with other Western equivalents FIRST!!!
1 person is assigned one number that stays with them till death!

    This will not go anywhere!

Yes, I agree! Something similar to social security numbers should be given to all Nigerian citizens first. That will identify each individual.

  22. Na wa oh, no matter how hard, u can please some Nigerians. U call d president clueless, yet most Nigerians are clueless theirselves. Some blog visitors just comment cos others are commenting n don't even know when there is a shift to a positive direction just because they can't stand Jonathan. Even if he takes a step to d right direction, they will still insult him n say he has done nothing, just because they are not intelligent enough to look beyond ds present situation to see where ds man is taking us to. Well ds is a new innovation, ds ID will serve as d national ID n will also serve as an ATM, jointly partnered with Master card. D 1st set will be available for 30million Nigerians, while 100million Nigerians will get next, free of charge.

This same people that call GEJ clueless come on here and ask clueless questions...a typical example of how they reason is what goes on here...you don't want to appreciate someone's effort, immediately you notice everyone loving and praising that bv..you hide under Anon and run the person down..then during the "Rant" post you come back and tell us how your life is not moving well...FREE YOUR MINDS OF BITTERNESS!
