ReplyDeleteif you watch genny's 'early days' before the designer clothes and the lux endorsement, she was a lot more into her characters. now she comes across as a bit cold and 'self conscious' even in her movie roles. the result is that the person watching the film cant forget that its 'queen genny' on the screen and really get into her character.
e.g. when watching patience ozokwor you forget her real name and start yelling abuses/or in some cases laughing, at whatever character she is playing.
just like any other talent/gift I think its important to keep honing your craft; attending courses, etc. and just brushing up.

He collected millions of money to do a movie about Adeboye and flunked it. The man of God cursed him in anger and ever since he has not been able to find his feet either in the film industry, music or as a publisher. A few years ago, ECOBANK gave him millions with some of his colleagues, he flunked it yet he is the first to condemn other people on Facebook. He does not have a house. In frustration his wife and daughter ran to London. He begs to feed yet all he does is cause trouble and make very inciting comments through the social media. Charles, please go and ask God and Adeboye for forgiveness so you can have your life back. Omotola and Genevive act according to the capacity God has given them. None can perform beyond what they have been endowed with. They sure have their shortcomings but Nigerians still love them. And that's what matters. Genevive was honoured then Omotola followed. It does not mean the first honoree is better than the second. Joke Silva who got her award this year is a better role interpreter than stereotyped Patience Ozorkwo who got the national award last year. So Charles Novia, park well.
