PRESS RELEASE
The attention of the Anambra State Government has been drawn to a false and malicious report circulating in social media over the purported closure by the Nigeria Police of a restaurant selling human flesh in Anambra state.
This story, as reprehensible and false as it is, was also published by a national daily which has since retracted it and apologised, having found it to be untrue.
The government of Anambra State having investigated the story and found same to be false hereby urges Ndi Anambra and friends of the state to ignore the said story as it is part of a wider smear campaign by disgruntled persons and enemies of progress who have been attempting to sabotage the fast paced visible infrastructural and social development going on in the state.
These individuals who go by various aliases on social media and in some other media platforms have continued to feed unsuspecting members of the public with lies about Anambra state, in the hope that they will distract the present administration.
It is instructive that the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police, Anambra State Command, Uche Ezeh had in an earlier statement to the media debunked the false story.
Anambra State, the light of the nation is open for business and commercial activities, and hence now the destination of choice in Nigeria for investors looking for a government friendly investment climate, security, large market, attractive return on investment, skilled manpower and supporting infrastructure.

ReplyDeleteIt's very sad that a big foreign media such as daily mail and BBC will bring themselves so low to make such a false report. Only God knows what they set out to achieve with this evil plan and who is behind it. Our Good Lord has exposed them. They should feel ashamed. Enemies of progress. You people want to tarnish the image of my state but our God is not asleep. I thank God for our governor Obiano, who is doing all his best to make Anambra state a prosperous and a safe place to live despite all the evil opposition who is trying to bring him down. Our able governor jisie ike na oru, it is only God who can reward you for carrying out your duties diligently. Ignore all the bad belle people, your name will go down in history as one of the best governor that we have ever had. Please continue with your development and security plan. I hope to come back home in the future and invest in my state, I believe if we all come together and invest, Anambra will be a great place to live in. ReplyDeleteBut i briefly listened to this radio prog on sunday where a guy called to say he ate human flesh,liked it and ordered for more.
What realy upset me was the easiness and casuality with which he relayed the event....and the OAP was giggling and asking him some more questions and they just kept talking about it.
Tbh i wanted to puke.....i had to switch stations.
How can that be a laughable discuss on air????
