Service Year Boulevard 27

*Rolling my eyes

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, my fellow bv's and my scintillating Stella.

I graduated 2012.I went for my convocation in school but for my school the programs go don start since Wednesday for convocation lecture and baccalaureate (this was the best part), convocation was to hold for two days(mine was on Friday).

When I was leaving home I got a call that the posting had been released. Immediately I got to school I went to the student affairs building and on getting there I saw Ab thinking it was Abuja but later saw FCT, someone asked where I was posted I said I don't know but na AB I see- na im the person tell me say na Abia, I left the board immediately working towards the park to get the bus to permanent site as we call it.

When I got to the hostel(staying with a student-no fit afford the guest house) i called my parents and they told me we would talk about it when I get back. After the convo I went to collect my letter and went home. When I got home while discussing my mum told my dad to tell the driver to drive me to Abia(from osogbo- being the first time I would my dear state)my dad said no its not reasonable.

I travelled down to ibadan(with enough provision and pocket moneyπŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ on Sunday to get a bus to umuahia, slept over at my friends house and left for park as early as 5 a.m. I went Abia line park got a bus going to camp straight, got to camp 5:20p.m we were given temporary accommodation.

The next day we were told to go outside the camp gate to be checked in again, did camp registration and camp went on smoothly.I ate the camp food once -there was a day they were serving yam and stew and na yam be my best food, I went to get my yam not knowing them don do their usual add plenty water and as I don dey queue since so na yam and water I ate that day after that day I no even try am and when I ran out of money before another was sent I took my coco pops. It was only once they served correct good for camp rice and vulture cos the thing no resemble chicken -I no even try am cos of my previous experience.

I was in platoon 6 and I was involved in camp activity, i matched for my platoon and when it was time for posting I prayed I'll be posted to isialangwa(we had been so many things wanted to know how true the things were) but I was posted to umuahia north.
I didn't follow any church bus, took a bus called my cousin who worked there previously and called his guys to come take me-i went with a friend.

To get PPA was trouble I was rejected in two places but later got a school thanks to my pastors son leaving in a neighbouring town who's also a pastor.
I was posted to Ibeku high school....the students are something else. Whenever I told anyone in the state I was posted to the school they would just tell me to be careful that the boys are cult guys. We were given accommodation inside the school so na flexing things from lodge to class ni, no staff room matter. The teachers were always jealous of us and very lazy, one was always asking me to teach his class and I would just tell him OK so he would sign my clearance form.

I remember one day inspectors came from SEMB(school education management board ) they met only a corper in class. The only problem we had was electricity, mtn foundation built laboratory and borehole for our school so no water palava(though the first few weeks we had to buy water). I taught civics education js.s.2 and j.s.s 1 although I was to teach 8 arms only 4 of my classes were visible the others were just on roaster and I was also s.s.1a class teacher.

As a small corper people were always surprised to see me in my khaki especially in the market. I went to winners chapel in the morning and r.c.f in the evening. Whenever we were paid i would go to any of their fast fooda -crunchies, hoffers can't remember the name of the other place I used to go to. My CDs group was NAPTIP and I was the treasurer for two terms. I enjoyed my service year- it was the first time I was leaving alone, went to club. It was fun.

Not to forget on our swearing in day our dear governor OCHENDO-the former governor Theodore ahamefule orji came around after 2p.m with plenty convoy and his ochendo youth and ochendo women.

The day after our passing out(which took place in my school because the state had a program in their stadium)we were to leave but we wanted to collect the salary they were owing us-i think three months. We made sure we collected the money and the bus we chartered was waiting for us, we loaded the bus and as we were going the students and teacher were waving at us (it was during their moral instructions, they usually have the class on Friday but outside their classrooms in the field) some students were even crying. I got off the bus at oore to join the bus going to Osogbo, when we got to ondo we had an accident but it wasn't much. I got to Osogbo after 11p.m and my parents came to pick me.

I still miss the place though. Sorry for the long story, hope I didn't bore you.

*Well you bored me sha and the only place i laughed was the rice and vulture part.lol

  7. I'll have to go anon for this. Can't even write nysc boulevard cos Stella and her bvs would cuss me out. Anyways, I'll shorten it. Served in one of the western states. Didn't go out for any activity until the last week. I got to camp 4 days after it started, some days later went to visit my ex bf in neighbouring town. Stayed for a week. Came back to camp and decided to join the activities and everyone noticed me cos my kit was still brand new. I played football, volleyball and contested for miss big and bold. I never ate the kitchen food and didn't spend money in mammy. Guys were always buying food for me. I had over 10 toasters including soldiers.my hips in the shorts did all the work lol. 2 guys even fought over me one night like that. Did so many crazy thing's in camp ehn but I'll mention one. Had sex with my camp crush on bonfire night inside his room filled with sleeping boys. It was crazy, we didn't care who was listening or watching in the dark lol. Early in the morning, I sneaked back to my room. Did other crazy stuffs sha and some of my toasters got posted to villages because of me. I was posted to the city, didn't pay rent all through. Can't start writing stories but I had a swell time. My ex and I broke up during that period and I met hubby immediately after service. Got married 6 months later. Dude didn't want to lose me lol

  19. For someone who was charged with teaching young minds, sister, your non-use of punctuation marks is inappropriate and unacceptable. Please learn to make use of punctuation marks and yeah, your story is very dry.
