PDP's Adeleke Wins Osun West By-Election

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won the bye-election for Osun West Senatorial district conducted on Saturday.

According to dailypost,The Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) concluded collation of results early Sunday morning.


Official results show that the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Mudashiru Hussain won only his local government.

Ademola Adeleke of the PDP won 9 out of the 10 local government areas where the election held.

Below is full result announced at the Baptist High School, Iwo, venue of the collation centre.

  1. Nice one. Even if adeleke had contested as an independent candidate he would have won. There is something called sympathy vote and that was what came to play. Aregbesola,s stupidity and political naivity made the Apc lose a senatorial seat it hitherto occupied.He is not a good political strategist at all. Apc will need to seriously watch out or we might also kiss the governorship seat goodbye next year. A word is enough for the wise.
