Media adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Ikechukwu Eze has faulted media reports which claimed that the House of Representatives planned to investigate the past administrations of President Jonathan and President Muhammadu Buhari over N11.1 billion State House Clinic budgets between 2015-2017.
His statement reads: “The House of representatives resolved Thursday 12 October, 2015, to probe 2015-2017 allocations to Aso Rock Clinic and some media reports are needlessly dragging the name of former President Goodluck Jonathan into it.
We had thought that the media should be the first to remind Nigerians that since Dr. Jonathan left office on May 29, 2015, he had absolutely nothing to do with the implementation of the budget for that year.
Going by the way some people make insinuations on issues that border on the development of our country, it would appear as if Ex-President Jonathan had been in office since independence in 1960, and probably still be in charge today. We expect media houses to always do proper investigations to avoid the convenient choice of always using Jonathan as the scapegoat for the misdeeds of others.

ReplyDeleteWell if the probe is commencing from October 2017 then it excludes the period within which GEJ was in office.
Plus, why do I get the feeling that Stella is an APC apologist. She seem to treat the many ineptitude of this government with kid gloves but is quick to attack others particularly officials of the past administration.
Couldn't be better said. It's even becoming irritating the way she goes about it. The report is stating the obvious, the given duration that is said to be investigated doesn't have anything to do with the past president since he was long gone before the implementation of any part of the 2015 budget, but SDK'S bad belle for Jonathan and eye service for Buhari won't let her see that truth. A lot of corrupt practices are fingered in this administration but she looks away as though that's not news. This government is just using the media to cover up it's ineptitude while capitalizing on the failures of the past administration. The present president can't say he isn't aware that he's in power with the aid of corrupt money and through some corrupt means. Little wonder why he looks the other way whenever any member of his cabinate or close associate is fingered for corruption but only roars when it's the other way. Truth is all of them in PDP and APC are same oo, no difference. May God just do what he did to their likes in Ghana here in Nigeria mbok. We're tired of revolving same circle
