    1. Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 2 Cor. 2:14

Suspending her from her "duties" in the assembly was right and scriptural.
As a matter of fact, she can't even sing again since she will be a Muslim
and one among a lot of wives.
This is what girls that rush to marry a Muslim do not consider.
No matter how he "promises to be one man one wife", he is going to renege
He is a human and bound to budge to pressure
so do not enter that boat if you can't sail to destination, you will only be
thrown overboard to feed the sharks and wales.

    4. Anon Muslim do worst. I grew up in the north so I know. In fact, they are shunned. It's allowed for a Muslim man to marry a Christian girl but a Muslim girl isn't allowed to marry a Muslim. Check the occurrence and see. It's very rare. Because they know they can make the girl to convert or not allow her go to church at all. But if a girl married a Muslim, it's hardly the consent of the family. She will be shunned until she returns. Cases where the family consented is very rare

    6. I schooled in the north and I'm familiar with some of their rules. Most muslims will do worse I tell you. Only few of them in the west won't mind though.

  3. Abeg nah his church and churches 've rules and regulations. Did she convert d guy to a Christian or is she going to be a Muslim. If the later, then she should not only leave the choir but the church. You can't serve two masters at once.

  4. People trying to have their cake and eat it. She is supposed to leave the church jeje for dem. Is going to practise mixed religion in the marriage or is she becoming a Muslim? If she is becoming a Muslim, den she should leave both the choir and the church and face her Koran and mosque.

  5. I wonder if the man she got married to later happens to be a governor and she a Christian First Lady married to a Muslim man likes of Florence Ajimobi, Oluremi Tinubu, Funso Amosu, Toyin Saraki, Omolewa Ahmed, Abimbola Fasola etc, won't that Church still call her back with letter of apology? Religion is indeed opium of the masses

    1. Call her back with letter of apology as per what exactly?
She should be applauded for walking and working against the word of God?
Truly not all who profess Jesus can testify they know Him as who and what He is.
I can't say for those women you mentioned except Mrs Omolewa Ahmed because I've been blessed to hear her preach. She testified that she married her husband after she backslided (mind you not as a church worker) and during the marriage found her way back to Jesus. She regrets the fact that she married a Muslim and keeps praying that one day her husband will know Christ ...you think it's child's play for a real child of God in a Muslim marriage?

  12. I actually see nothing wrong in it. You can't worship God and Mammon.
If she married the Muslim guy before becoming born again, it's a different case.
As a chorister she is suppose to be a light to others and not otherwise. Anyone saying otherwise, because you think we live in the twentieth century and everyone should follow the trend, the Word of God is our trend and standard.
Muslims will never allow their ladies marry Christians. The men are allowed because there's the conception that ladies can be influenced easily so they make it a point of duty to change the minds of their wives to turn to muslims. Which happens in most cases.
This is small punishment compared to what the lady would have faced if reverse was the case.

  13. I won't say what the Bishop did is wrong or not, why, because his reasons are best known to him.

But then it is sacrosanct for us humans to first Love one another regardless of religion, for if we love and respect one another only then will we as humans be able to coexist in peace and harmony.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I don't see anything wrong in what this bishop did, the bible is clear on certain things

    2 corinthians 6:14-16
(Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you,)

    Deuteronomy 7 vs 3-4
(You shall not intermarry with them, giving your daughters to their sons or taking their daughters for your sons, for they would turn away your sons from following me, to serve other gods. Then the anger of the Lord would be kindled against you, and he would destroy you quickly.)

As a Christian your body is the temple of Christ and when you knowingly decide out of the foolish wisdom of the world to share your body in marriage with that of a man who worships god of the sun, what then do you expect.

That the bishop will fold his arms and allow you bring filth to the alter of God because as a chorister of the church you are a vessel unto praise and when you have shared you body with a man who serves a lesser god then you have commited abomination.

God cannot be mocked and his standard is sure.

As a chorister with your lips you sing praises to God because you claim to have felt the power of his salvation yet you decide to marry a Muslim of all people and expect the church you condone it.

Why couldnt the lady trust in God to do right by her

You must be crazy...if you have lost it thank God your bishop is still in his right senses to remove such abominable people from his church

  15. You see nothing wrong with this? Even the bible says light and darkness don't meet. Believers shouldn't be yoked with an unbeliever. A Muslim family will never I repeat never allow their daughter marry a Christian so why should a Christian lady marry a Muslim? Your beliefs are different, your customs and norms are different and what about the kids you decide to bring into this world. What shall be their doctrine? Who shall they follow? Mosque on Friday and church on Sunday? Why confuse the kids. Now they are in love, after 6month-1year of marriage they go give am kettle and mat. when a lady is desperate to get married every man is a potential husband material in 100yards. The Bishop did nothing wrong and trust me he is vexed cos the lady has shown that all her years in that church, the bishop hasn't impacted in life spiritually. Sermon preached after each service is forgotten shekina.... goes through the right and out through the left....

  16. You can't be fucking an unbeliver at night, then go to church in the morning to minister in songs to God's people. Let her face her husband in peace and leave God's work to true belivers. A true born again Christian will never marry an unbeliver.

    1. You have said the truth...a true born again Christian can never marry an unbeliever, the lady is not a true follower of Christ simple.

  18. As for me I don't buy the idea of suspending her from choir. The bishop would have called and talked to the Lady in concern.

    1. And you are sure that was not done before the decision to suspend?

  19. Stella you say what? A chorister meaning she's a church worker who stands in front of the alter to sing and lead praise and worship. Mba, the church should have picked out asoebi for her, taken 2 20seater bus to the wedding and do branded gifts for her 😩 then host she and the brand new husband next Sunday for thanksgiving. That I'm sure is in every church rule...you marry a Muslim as a church worker then you get sanctioned. There's nothing bad about it

    ReplyDelete
  20. The Muslim will do worse inasmuch I don't think the best thing was to ask her to leave, I think counselling should have been the next thing

    ReplyDelete
  21. Of course. It shows all the biblical teaching she has been receiving did not digest into her brain properly. Not only the choir also the church. Let call a spade a spade> she's not worthy to minister in that place .

    ReplyDelete
  22. But it's is her choice naw ... There are some good Muslim even better than the so called Christian brothers ... Please everybody should learn how to mind their business.

  24. It is really funny when a bishop suspends a member that still want to worship God using her talent, then sends some group of people out with tracts to share the gospel and tell them about God. Religion is really getting their hands into marriages today, it is just heartbreaking and unbelievable. As a Christian I was taught that this heavenly race is personal but at the same time our personal decisions about it is countered by the same people.
