Mama Tee Series - End Time Liars

These days, the kind of lies I hear makes me feel like I'm missing out as I don't lie enough. Hehehehehehe

I don't even know where to start from. Is it my course mate and ex-friend back then in higher institution? I had to "ex' her when her lies landed me in trouble.

Babe would buy clothes from 'okirika bend down boutique' while resuming for the semester, she would not wash them oh, she would just spray them with perfume and tell us that her sister in abroad sent them to her.
One day we asked why they smelled like our own okirika and she said their okirika in abroad also smelled exactly like ours. As we no kuku get anyone for abroad, we believed her. Hahahahaha

One day, there was a robbery incident in her compound, she was not home, she had spent the night with her boyfriend. When the police interrogated her, she lied that she slept at my place that night. Poor me that had not entered police cell before then was locked up in the cell with her. Thanks to neighbours who insisted they didn't see her. My landlord effected my release. When I came out, I quickly cut all ties with her.

My neighbour too can kill with lies. When they newly moved into the mini-flat beside me, she told me they were living in a 3-bedroom flat in Oshodi and that her hubby was duped of millions, I didn't ask her oh. She went on to say that her hubby doesn't like moving into a new house with old furnitures and so he threw them away, he would buy new ones here. Lol.

Weeks turned into months, after almost one year, no single chair in their parlour, visitors would sit on the pavement in their verandah. One day, another neighbour bought new furnitures and wanted to dispose off his old worn out chairs, I mean chairs whose outer coverings were torn and the foam beneath torn and dirty too. Yours truly begged for them and they were given to her. She now cut some of her wrappers into small pieces and used them to cover the torn places. Hahahahaha

Another Prolific Liar is my landlord.

When we met him the first time before moving in, he told us he was a retired naval officer.

OK!
After one year when I wanted to renew the rent, he told me he was a retired police officer.

Later, we found out he was a pensioner who worked for the Lagos State Fire Service. Hahahahaha

The mother of all the lies he had been telling us is the one where he claimed his son who built the house we live in was living in Spain.

The young man came home last December with his wife and kids and came over to see us. He told us he lived in Ghana and even gave us his personal phone number in Ghana. Hahahahaha

Mama Tee

*Hahahahahhahahahaha maybe Ghana looks like Spain nah.

Liars Ehn, maybe they do forget one before bringing out another one
That was how my new neighbour said she contested for governor election in Ogun state but she lost.
This woman does not even have a one seater sit but can afford 100k lace. She said she has her own house but she came to rent because of upcoming election.
Different men different days. Her hubby has been in America since last year according to her, yet pay for security fee she will say she is broke.
I avoid that woman like a bad habit.

  3. When some people lie e, you will start asking yourself if they are ok at all. How can someone tell you that she hasnt buy anything for her unborn baby at 8 months of pregnancy because the husband will be bringing it from abroad while coming back. she lied till it remain few days to her EDD date. Infact her sister is the one who used the little money she has to buy bend down select when its obvious that she wasnt even married. Then two weeks after the baby was born, she traveled with the baby but never return with it up till today. When we asked her, she said that she left the baby with the mother inlaw. No omugwu or even baby bed, nothing. Its obvious she sold that baby because as soon as she came back from that trip, she bought new gen set, television and sound system. We are still observing sha.

  6. Some people can lie for Africa.
One of my uncle's wife, an old woman can lie and make you go crazy. There was a day she said I came to the village, saw her and refused to greet her. Me that have not been to the village for years. I told her husband to ask her whether it was in her dreams because I had not travelled for years.

  7. I have a friend that lies like her life depends on it.
Few months ago, without asking her oh, she just told me that her uncle (not that much older than us and we kinda grew up together) traveled to the US permanently and I was like this guy is lucky oh. Just like that, without having anyone in the US he got a US visa.

She now said that her aunt with correct papers live in the US and that she was the one that worked out everything.

Despite knowing she's an unrepentant liar, I didn't disbelieve this cos I don't believe someone would lie about something like this.

A few weeks later, the uncle posted a picture on Facebook and the area didn't look like someone in the US at all. It just looked like a Nigerian mall. This was where doubt crept in.

So I started going through all the guy's pics (with none ever looking like someone in the US) until I stumbled upon one the guy checked in his location. Lo and behold, the guy only traveled to Ghana.

The surprising thing is that I'm quite sure the uncle never told her to lie on his behalf but her 'I must belong syndrome' will never let her be truthful about anything.

This is the same person that told me that her husband dashed his mum their only car (when they wanted to buy it, I warned her against it cos I told her they are not rich enough for a car yet. Even told her land would be a much better thing to buy). She said they had to give it to the mum cos she wouldn't stop bitching about it. I knew dis was a lie from the get go but I didn't say peem.

Months later my brother told me how her husband told him that he had to sell the car cos they needed the money and the car was chopping too much money.

Anyone that knows me ehn know how much I hate liars. My sisters keep asking how I'm still friends with this one. I guess it's just cos we've been friends since childhood and it's quite hard to cut off such ties

  8. Hahaha a liar must have a good memory. I have heard lies that left me dazed and when I think of them now I wonder if the liar thought my brain was on French leave

  12. I will never forgive my brothers wife for the lie she lied on me that makes my family to scatter. Our first born is her husband, is not in talking terms with the rest of the family because of her.
I was living with them after my graduation from university awaiting service. Helping them to sell in one of their shops .Is a boutique so anytime we have new stock my brother used to tell me to take two clothes that I like. When she see me wear new clothes She will now ask why I took it, I cannot say I don't want?. So I was now keeping the clothes and later sell them to my friends. I will use the money to buy food any day she did not give me food. Or in use the money to fix my phone. She was frustrating me always accusing me of stealing money. She did not want me in the house.
One day, I close for the day met everybody in the sitting room downstaires,my brother holding a pregnancy test result and they said I impregnated the house girl. The girl said in my face that I am responsible for it. Somebody that I have never have body contact with before. I cried, begged and deny it but the send me packing out of the house. . After two months the house girl called me to apologise that it was madam that threatened her to lie that lie and madam got a fake pregnancy test result. That she was not pregnant. That madam later collect 100k from oga that they want to remove the pregnancy and she gave the house girl 50k as thank you gift. I recorded the call and played it for my parents. That is how family scattered till today.

  13. I had one back in secondary school. This girl lied that her mum works with Nigerian Stock Exchange. Everyday in class she'll tell us how her mum complained that 5Ok dropped, 1naira rise....what did we know?

As devil will have it, I saw her at the bus stop selling ugwu with a woman that looked exactly like her. Turned out it was her mother! Her mother actually sells ugwu. You won't believe next day in school without me asking, she began telling me of how the woman I saw with her was her aunty she stays with...bla bla. But then, I met her siblings with the same woman on several occasions cos I go to that market often.

She also lied that they live in a duplex in lawanson only for me to see her in her wrapper and top in front of a tenement house on my way back from my Aunty's place. She ran inside immediately she sighted me but she didn't know I had seen her.

Rebecca, if you're reading this I pray you've changed.

Most people do lie about their relative who is outside the country. My dad' 's friend whose son was in SA lied that he was in US. One day the son called when he was in our house, he later asked me to help him charge his phone. I checked his call log took the number and Googled it, it was SA number. I told my dad. When my dad saw him again my dad told him that one of his nephews too wants to go to SA that whether his son could help, he was just looking.
My friend in school too travelled to one Muslim country. Every time she is always covered up in her pictures. But she was lying that she is in Australia . One day she mistakenly enabled location in one of her Facebook posts and I saw something like Ubestistan or something. Heheheh

  18. There's this guy that is wooing me, he can lie for Africa. The lies he told me where too much, I had to start avoiding him. He lied he had an accident, sent me a picture of the car. It was a Chevrolet with a cross river platenumber. Then he sent me a picture of the car before the accident, and it was a Nissan with an Abuja plate number. One day we were chatting and he told me he wanted to go feed his dog,i was like - wow, didn't know u love dogs. He asked if I wanted a picture of the dog and he sent me a picture of a GSD cross dog. I was like thanks then he told me he traveled all the way to Ghana to pick up the dog and now the dog is big and sent me a picture of a Caucasian dog. And I was like, these dogs are 2 different breeds. He kept insisting it's the same dog. I had to tell him my brother is a vet doctor and he breeds foreign dogs so I know their difference. He didn't chat me up after that for about 2 weeks only for him to come with a story of an agricultural grant of 10m that he is a supervisor and I should give him #2500 to register my name. I told him to use his money and do the registration that I refund the money once it clicked. He turned the whole thing to quarrel that I don't trust him, I think he's lying bla bla bla.
Abeg I abhor lies and I easily see through them. Some people are caused with lying, they lie for no reason and they can't stop lying.

Like I said before, she started teaching her kids to lie too. That her son that broke the tap in the compound and she asked him to deny it, the boy stole another pupil's book in the class, used razor blade to scrape off the name of the owner and wrote his own name there. Chai! Small boy in nursery class o.
Another parent in the neighbourhood who is one of her amebo partners and whose child is in the same class with her boy came to fight her and used it to cuss her. As expected, It's gossip and lies that caused their fight.

  24. That was how ma sec school mate lied that her father was their family friend. This is a man that has come on visiting day before which we all knew but because that day he paid public transport, used sacks and motors bag to put her provision plus he wasn't dressed tush.she had been telling lies before but to deny your own parents?
Even in university she had an abortion and lied to mumu me that she miscarried and was busy crying for two weeks sake of say she is mourning her baby.

    3. Stella you said maybe you're not lying enough. A good way to know whether you're lying enough is when you decide to return lie for lie, that is when you lie to a liar and the liar starts avoiding you, trust me you'll clap for yourself. I once did it to a chronic liar and till he relocated from our compound he couldn't look me in the eye again. I felt I beat him at his own game.
