Thugs suspected to be loyal to the suspended Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial district, Ovie Omo-Agege have invaded the red chambers and forcefully taken away the mace.
They broke into the chambers when plenary was going on, thereby creating serious confusion and tension.
The operation took Sergeant-At-Arms by surprise who tried to reclaim the mace without success.

ReplyDeleteThis is a live report. I work in National Assembly. The thugs came into NASS with the assistance of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, they assaulted the Sergeants-at-arm, made their way into the Senate Chambers, carried the Mace and made their way out. About 4 of them entered the Chambers, two carried the Mace while two were guarding them. They all made their way into the waiting vehicles and zoomed off. They left through the back gate of NASS. The other thugs in the vehicles were armed. Senator Obie had the guts to come back to the Senate Chambers, he has just been arrested and taken away.
