Reasons adduced to the break-up of the union ranged from accusations of infidelity to jealousy. “After Rita got married bout fourteen years ago ,she decided to build her home first and then return to movies later. She did that for the first ten years or so. She temporarily left the industry to attend to family first but since she returned some years back, it has not been funny for the couple. The long hours on locations, took a toll on the marriage.
Especially as She now produces her own films and marriage and career somehow clashed....Especially as the spouse failed to Understand..''

ReplyDeleteThe husband is not serious, after giving 10years to raising the kids, the moment she stands up to work he starts looking for wahala. Abeg
DeleteSmart woman Mooney is not everything, take a break and have children if u can
DeleteAnon 11:36, she took a break had children and the man still did not pipe down. In her world she was smart because she stayed on top of things. Women take a break and come back extinct to the workforce and can not ever get placed. Take a break but stay on top of things.
DeleteAll these jealous men self. Na wa.
ReplyDeleteGood as no one kill each other. They both will be fine at the end.
It is well with them
Nawa o. Why so many failed marriages in nollywood. Guess most of the men are not supportive of this their going away on location and all. Things they shld have discussed while courting. Omotola and omoni must have really understanding hubbys then. Especially omoni who even leaves her base for naija alot. You can't win with these men, many say they don't want housewives. Say they are looking for "working class women". They don't want to pay all the bills. Now the woman goes out to hustle you start saying she's cheating.
ReplyDeleteYour head is there. The men sef don't know what they want. Awon looking for working class, later fighting said working class woman fulfilling the demands of her job and telling her to resign to do chewing gum buisness so she can have time for her home.
DeleteIt is well with her
ReplyDeleteNa wah ooo...the man should be supportive
ReplyDeleteIm happy for her... Now shes free from boundage.. That's What most abroad marriage are. Women sacrifice alot doing school runz from nursery till year5
ReplyDeletelol. She was indeed "Living in Boundage"
DeleteHmmmmmm
ReplyDeleteOh please some men and their insecurities and archaic mentality. I’m sure Rita’s husband is the sort of controlling, domineering man who would want her to be nothing but a housewife. Abeg marriage shouldn’t signify the end of your goals/career biko. Her family should even make the money N70k sef. Good riddance?
ReplyDeleteIf you verify well, the man is from Mbano, that's how they treat their women.
DeleteThey are too domineering in marriage not allowing their wives freedom.
So many of Mbano men are like that.
Rita you are a strong woman.
The man is from Imo State but dont know where exactly.
DeleteMay God help them Amen
Mschwwww. From Ozubulu to Mbano Imo state. Rita na you do urself
DeleteNo 70naira

ReplyDeleteSo sad,I give those up to 25years hand.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy both parties came out alive. God bless them separately.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are too quick to conclude. let's wait till we hear the husbands side of it story. Cause I'm sure someone from Rita's side sent this story.
ReplyDeleteAll these 'abroadian husbands' sef, I dont understand how they behave. Well thank God for life sha.
ReplyDeleteAbroad based naija husband ko... Sharing poverty ni!😡
DeleteNdi ara!
So many poor men useless things forming "husband material" to stupid girls desperate to marry & travel to abroad. Go near dem, na 1 chance be dat! U suffer together die spiritually long time before physical death sef. Tufiakwa for these kind of Naija / black men abroad who r either lazy or wickedly stingy & mean spirited to women.
I cant really type anything abouth this issue till I read the hubby's aide of the story.
ReplyDeleteMc pinky
N70???????? 😮! Is that a typo?
ReplyDeleteHmmm! Many men marry entertainers and hope to turn them to housewives. Some of the ladies think they can cope, but after a few years they start seeing their peers, or those they were even better, than doing well. And maybe they find it hard to get into other business/ career paths. So they want to go back and by then, oga isnt having it. Because he's not used to her being so busy, cheating allegations start coming in. She gets pissed takes a walk.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you. This is the gospel truth
DeleteAll i remember about her us her open teeth 😍😍😍😍😍
ReplyDeleteI remember her back then.
ReplyDeleteThe story above has no truth as regards to what brought about d end of d non existing marriage. Anyways no dowry was paid not to talk of refunding. She was only doing kwarangida. She has no marriage certificate, if she has one,let her show it and she has only a child not kids as said This is d fact. Interview her and let her tell d truth concerning all these stories
ReplyDeleteIt's Kwanan-gida pls. I reserve my comment on the rest. #stopbastardisingnigerianlanguages
DeleteMarriage is hard o
ReplyDeleteLADIES, listen and listen well. If you make the mistake of marrying and not securing your future you will pay dearly. If you leave your career or business to take care of the home biko stay relevant while you are forming house wife. Men are the most unstable elements. Every married woman who has been married for over 10 years will tell you this. Single women, DISCUSS THIS WITH YOUR MEN and if possible get an agreement between him and your people that he will not stand in the way of your progress. Do not be stupid because of love. These kids will HATE you if you leave them at the mercy of a wishy washy man. The saying that no one can care for a child like its mother does not only mean sitting at home, it means providing for the child. A man will easily see good school school fees as a burden when his family is pressuring him for money. A woman will find ways to hustle up some more money and make ends meet.
ReplyDeleteThis has little to do with this post but I pray you listen.
I AM A MAN, I AM SOMEONE'S SON AND BROTHER and my sister was foolish enough to fall for this. My mother suffered this but she bounced back.
Thanks for this.
Delete👍👍👍👍👍
Delete😍😍😍😍😍😍🖕🖕
DeleteI wish her all the best but I thought she is from OBA in idemili south LG of anambra
ReplyDeleteNigerian men urgently need training & serious coaching on how to become better husbands & take supporting roles to their wives who are working hard to achieve successful outcomes!
ReplyDeleteEven when the man has his own successful job, business or career. They must learn that it is a very good thing & healthy for the relationship to thrive when a woman is capable of becoming economically independent through good paying job or business ventures & career.
***Nigerian men do often sabotage their wives by becoming jealous & competitive when they see that a woman is shining or have got that capacity to outshine their man in the public domain.
Goodluck to Rita Nzelu! I wish her well & hope she finds happiness in fulfilling her desire to do well in her chosen career, other than just to be a dormant wife & mother.
